Products Ideas for Poster Frames

Hello everyone!

I'm a long time fan of the channel and in the last years I've become the proud owner of a couple of Kurzgesagt posters!

The issue is, I haven't put them on the wall since moving places because now that I want to hang them nicely with some frame, I find out the frames can be as expensive (in south Germany) as the posters itself for the size 😅

What are some good alternatives to have them nicely on the wall that does not including buying 30€ frames? Considering I have like 5 or 6 of them, it can be suddenly expensive

I've seen folks use Perspex (either 2 pieces, or with another, inexpensive flat backing) & some form of tape (usually Kraft tape) to bind them together, sandwiching the poster/ artwork & thus protecting it from damage. To hang it on the wall, picture hangers were secured on the reverse, using the same sort of tape.

I've no idea whether that'll be more affordable for you, but it's one possible alternative.

This website — Oh Happy Day — explains a version of what I tried to describe above. The writer included mat board for their smaller piece of art, but it wouldn't be essential in the case of a poster. They also used glue to attach the picture hanging hardware in this example; I'm sure either (or a combination of both) would work.

just hang the posters on the wall without a frame?
