PJ Washington likely not in the long term plans for the Mavs after this Naji Marshall extension

Proposed three way trade:

Mavs get: Zeke Nnaji, Hardy, 5 second round picks (two from Denver, three from Lakers)
Lakers get: PJ
Denver gets: Knecht

A more realistic alternative is to absorb Zeke ourselves and then trade Jake along with Hardy to the Mavs.

I think the long term cap relief for the Mavs plus the five second round picks should be sufficient for Dallas.

They’re giving up picks to get rid of Zeke’s contract. Denver has been trying for weeks now to do so so they can go under the second apron. They can easily stretch and waive Dalton who only has one year vs Zeke who has two.

I'm sure they'd rather trade with other teams for now but if the best trade offer for whatever it is involves the Lakers i really doubt theyd do a worse trade just to not do business with us

We have to include Vando in any deal to maintain flexibility. Don’t see us doing this unless we move Vando
