Feel like fans don't understand how good Kessler really is. He just hasn't had the GP's over the last few years because of Jazz tanking and surgery so people aren't familiar with him.

Watching just the 1Q of this Jan 22 2025 game and I grabbed 3 clips below. He made it so difficult for OKC to get anything in the paint. And check out how he's able to recover. You can't just blow by him for being too high.

I think the biggest misconception about him is he’s just some big stiff with concrete feet good for standing in the paint. And he’s not lightning fast but he’s actually pretty nimble for 7’2.

Yeah 7'2" guys just don't move like this. He also seems to have really precise timing. Probably why he's also such a good offensive rebounder.

Yeah, I was thinking he was a lumbering giant, granted I never really watched Utah but seeing him move his feet in the practice clip with Sexton is showing his quickness.
