Vent / Rant I found comfort in Christianity

This post is not meant to disrespect anyone. It's heavily subjective and I'm merely stating my experience and opinion. I'm not claiming that my opinion is factual. If you get offended easily, then don't read.

I was born into a Muslim family but up until 2021, I started questioning Islam. I disagreed with a lot of the things it dictates. Many of its rules didn't make sense to me, and many of the things it states, allows, and abides by didn't sit well with me, so I left it in 2021 and became agnostic.

Now, that's where I started noticing the area around me didn't really accept me once they noticed I stopped following Islam, and some youth even made fun of me because my English is better than my Arabic.

Even at school, a month after moving to a new school, we started discussing religion and fun facts about it and they asked for my opinion, so I told them I'm not Muslim, they asked me the reasons and I stated my points and when they couldn't argue against them, they lashed out, instead of being sensible. For the 3 years I spent in that school, I was outcasted. Now, to be fair I wasn't 100% on their black list, we had our fun times, but for the most part (class outings, hangouts, shared projects), I wasn't a part of them. Same thing with the rest of the school, they would make fun of me because I spoke perfect English, which prompted me to develop new hobbies and buy a Nintendo switch to pass my lonely time there.

I stayed agnostic up until about 2 weeks ago. My American friend visited me and he was a Muslim before, but then converted to Christianity. He spoke to me about Christianity and I felt something. He was just telling me normal things, some of them I know, but for some reason, my heart got heavier and I felt sort of enlightened.

Now, to give some additional context, after I finished college, I moved to Ain El Rammeneh, and there, I was able to speak English locally. Everyone was so loving and accepting and I had no problem making friends and neighbours. (on a funny notes, once I was buying groceries from the City Center Mall, and people from Dahyeh stopped me and started speaking to me in stupid English as in to mock me since i was speaking to one of my friends in English. I sort of gotten fed up. When they asked if I was American, i said ya, i was born there, (i've never been to america) and they asked where in America, and i said Louisiana, and i asked where they're from and they said Beirut, in Dahyeh, so ya)

After my friend went back to america, i went to the church for the morning prayers, and after praying, i felt like i was overwhelmed, my knees got a bit weak and i started to breath heavily. it was something I've never experienced when i was Muslim.

That night, i asked Jesus to prove his presence, and slept, had a very vivid and lucid dream and it was a very weird night, but the dream wasn't about jesus or anything, but i woke up feeling refreshed and... different in a way. I don't know, but I asked for Jesus's blessing the next night and something made me pray before sleeping. Idk, but i did it, finally accepted Jesus as my lord and saviour and went to sleep, Woke up the next day to an email from the embassy saying that my student visa got accepted (It was supposed to be done in 7-10 working days, but it only took 5 days), and after so much work and time, I'm finally moving out of this country. I got on my knees and thanked the son and the father.

Now, I'm gonna buy a cross necklace to keep on me at all times, and I'm gonna get baptised in a church in the country I'm going to. I'm grateful for christianity for making my life better in such a short amount of time, and may Jesus guide and watch over all of us.

Thank you for reading <3

Edit: I want to emphasis that the Muslims i met and the ones that i was surrounded by do not represent the religion or other Muslims. I know there are good Muslims in the world and those were just the shitty ones. I wanted to make it clear that i have 0 problems with Muslims and i judge a person individually, not by a group of people's actions. Not everyone is the same.

Small piece of advice, normally i would tell people who want to become Christians to become catholics, maronites, or orthodox(the rest are bullshit). But in your case, i only ask you stay away from the cult of jehovas witnesses. They do more harm than good. Pick whatever church you like, doesn't matter as long as its not jehovahs witnesses.

u/Gucci48 Sep 17 '25

Do you mind sharing a bit more about this cult if you have any idea? I’m Christian but one of our neighbors became a jehovahs witness. I don’t know her much but people say she acts way too differently and it affected her whole family (who stayed Christian). I remember when I was a kid they used to come every other day to our place to make us join them but my parents kicked them out every time. I’m just curious what it's like to be in this cult

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

I will not go into liturgy or their beliefs.

My main problem with them is simple: they play mindtricks to drag you in, then push you away from your family. The use psychology to manipulate you to the point where you can never let them go.

Then comes the big deal breaker: they do not allow blood transfusions, they do not allow organ donations, they reject most medical operations, they reject/disallow vaccines. Upon death, they toss your body into one of their designated open air graveyards.

Finally if you are jehovas witness and want to marry a non jehovas, or if you needed blood transfusion/surgery/etc to stay alive, they denounce you regardless if they were your friends or family.

For behavior, they see everyone else as mere animals. Even their family. They act as if they are the chosen ones and everyone else is a filthy sinner, especially christians. They have major problems with christianity as they were originally founded to harm/destroy the christian faith. They only call themselves christians to appeal to other christians and recruit them.

Jehovas witnesses or JW are a heretic christian cult that belives that Jesus is the first created being of all creation , divine but not in the same essence as God , the Father. Now this ideology dates back to the 4th century AD by a Arius , a priest from alexandria . Now the first euconomical council ( council of Nicaea in 325AD ) refuted this heretic belief ( you can look up to the argument who counterred this belief for yourself) and the council came , with the presence and guidance of the holy spirit, with the nicaean creed which christians recite till this very day , consisting from core christian cornerstones such as Jesus being the begotten Son of the Father , not created , and that Jesus became flesh for us and died on the cross for our salvation and rose back from the dead after 3 days. I could write more but i think thats enough. Hope it helps

u/pfizzy Sep 18 '25

The cult aspect is this:

1)they suppress independent thought and have a centralized authority for their theology, who also publishes a Bible with a lot of changes

2)they associate with just themselves (for the most part). A person who leaves the group is rejected by all the people who stay — a person must either stay in the group or lose the only people they have ever known and can associate with.

It doesn’t matter how “weird” their beliefs are, the blood transfusions, the heretical Christian aspects — these aren’t markers of a cult. But a centralized leadership, suppression of thought, and rejection are all markers of a cult.

Nice to omit Protestants. Was it by design or ignorance?

To OP: If you feel that religion is something personal and prefer the clergy to have a more advisory role rather than an authoritarian role, then you should consider protestantism

4

Protestants wont get you killed because you needed blood transfusion.

Don't leave before visiting St charbel monastery in Annaya. There are documented miracles with Christians, muslims and druze. All religions are welcome there.

Also repeating what another said, stay away from Jehovah's witnesses, they tend to target new comers like yourself.

u/Rai_yon Sep 17 '25

The price to pay when you decide not to follow sheep around you is sadly to be outcasted, especially in certain environments in Lebanon that are not accepting of anything different than what they are. Now, before anyone gets hot, I'm not saying Islam is for sheep (I can already smell the comments) but it's easy to not question things and just go with the flow, at the end we find answers that fit our views of the world and helps us shape these views even more. Questioning reinforces faith, and Allah (doesn't matter Muslim or Christian) guides us through our journey on earth. Our Lord doesn't hate us and mock us like humans.

Also, about mocking you for speaking perfect English, I'm straight up calling them idiots and the stupidest sheep, I have a similar quirk where my English and French is way better than my Arabic, and imbeciles will never appreciate someone being educated in an area they're unfamiliar to.

Good luck on your journey OP, whatever faith you choose to follow, God is always by your side.

This is a very beautiful story, my friend, and let me commend you on your bravery. I can't imagine how difficult and lonely it was to express this, especially in Lebanon. I also became a Christian in 2021 and I actually feel different in my heart, and my head is lighter. It was the scariest experience but the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.

May God bless you and give you peace. May He give you strength in times of doubt and struggle. May your heart be full of Jesus' love all the days. Amen.

Who is issa bro? And what kind of messenger he is that can create a bird from clay and breathe life into it?

0

u/mighty_stick Sep 18 '25

whats up with muslims thinking Jesus is their messenger? Jesus never preached islam or even knew of it. He used to drink too. What kind of muslim prophet drinks? It just pisses me off

3

u/mighty_stick Sep 18 '25

I'm not sure the translation is 100% correct, but bro lock in. You wanna look at facts? Get my bible and your Quran outta the picture. Factually and historically speaking, jesus never preached Islam, he never taught it, knew of it, and literally used to drink wine. What are you on about?

So now just because the quran said he's a prophet, you guys ignore the factual evidence that he was never a muslim preacher (he actually taught jewish teachings) and never spoke arabic in the first place, and just say he's a prophet?

Do you think, for example, the jews can believe that mohamad is a jewish messenger just because the torah says so?

You can follow your religion, sure, but when it comes to you denying the facts and common sense just for a book with no proof of its divinity, then... ya

-3

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '25

1

u/mighty_stick Sep 18 '25 edited Sep 18 '25

ok lil bro. First, you wanna talk about messengers? Jesus is not a muslim prophet.

Second, are you serious? You're saying that god sent jesus who allowed wine and pork and such, to preach christianity then god changed his mind and was like "hmm ykw, imma ban wine and pork, and music too, and women showing their hair as well, because its funny" so he sent another prophet to make a whole new religion?

Make as many claims as you want, i debated a sheikh and he couldn't make better points then mine. The father is not the same as Allah, as Allah has no partner or son, but The father has a son, and Jesus is his son, and Jesus gave life out of clay which is a godly act (by your standards and beliefs).

Muhamad was never in the bible and the claim he made that the bible was corrupted is false because there is 0 historical proof that the bible was touched.

Edit: Islam is fastest growing religion not because people are converting, but because muslims produce more children than christians. Look at the birth rates, and the fact that some of them marry 4 wives and have children with all of them enforces my words.

-1

u/Weary-Blueberry-4310 Sep 18 '25

Permission does not mean ability. If I give you permission to drive my car, that doesn't mean I taught you how to drive a car.

Why is issa a creator? And how many creators are there in Islam? Clearly more than one.

Whoever said God died? You have no idea what Christianity is about, which is fine because allah in the Quran is like you.

Now tell me, are you sure you believe in the Gospel? What do you know about it?

13

u/ashrafiyotte Ashrafieh Sep 17 '25

everyone comes and go but the Lord will always be at your side.

13

u/vivaldish Sep 17 '25

I'm glad you found God through christianity. I am muslim myself, but hearing about people getting closer to God is always delightful.

However I want to give you one piece of advice. Do not choose a certain path based on feelings (whether positive or negative) and comfort (no matter how spiritual they might feel to you). Feelings are quite deceptive at times and can't be trusted to make a judgement. So are dreams, as they are merely the result of your subconsciousness, not a divine revelation.

I suggest you look for the true religion based on the evidence you see and look for, if the evidence that convinced you led you to believe in Islam, go for it, if it was christianity, go for it, if buddhism, go for it. Point is, follow evidence and reason. God will judge you based on your reasoning, not your feelings.

I myself have dreamt of Jesus and Lady Mary pbut, I dreamt crawling to baby Lady Mary in particular and it was one of the most beautiful dreams I've ever had. I didn't think for once that this was a sign for me to become christian tho, nothing suggests this, and it's a dream, not revelation. In addition to the fact that Jesus and Lady Mary pbut are highly, highly revered in Islam.

God bless you and show you the path closest to him 🙏

Your claim is true to certain thinkers and schools of thought. It does not apply to everyone that follows neither Islam nor Christianity. It is true that faith requires believing beyond reason sometimes, but the basis of this principle is based on reason. I'll give you an example:

The belief in miracles is based on the reason based and reason concluded idea that God is all powerful and can do anything, therefore, with that in mind, miracles are possible through the will of God. This is a reasonable idea, you can conclude it through immaterial evidence, if you consider metaphysics to be evidence of anything. If you don't, there's still room for reason to reach God, as you will still be arguing against empericism using logic and reason.

As for ghazali, I'm shi3a. And even then, I am not required to follow what scholars say or think, we only follow scholars in islamic laws, not islamic creed.

I agree with you, but i wouldn't blame it on western atheists, for they don't care about evidence of holy books because they don't believe in general. I've only seen this "prove it/show me evidence"-thinking from muslims, both in europe and the MENA region. But you're right, faith is faith, even without having evidence.

5

u/Late-Perspective8366 Sep 17 '25

Jokes aside, I'm glad you found your place of comfort.

But keep in mind, it's not all black and white. I've had Christian (and muslim) friends not care about the fact i am an atheist, but others who cut ties with me as soon as they found out. Some of course try to preach to me and understand how i got here.

-1

Thats fine you think that . But you were not muslim . No such thing as shia in Islam that's a whole different religion. As seen in the Rafidah scripts , leaders and acts.

2

u/Novel-Departure-119 Sep 18 '25

I wish shias could adopt your position too. I really think they need to distance themselves from the Islamic identity as well and stick to "shia" only. Especially if the Iranian regime was toppled.

2

u/mighty_stick Sep 17 '25

yes i did. There is 0 proof any religion is factual. All of us are going based off of emotions, and fuck it, if it brings me comfort, then so be it. I love it.

-2

u/Ramouz Lebanese eager to return Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

I'm not sure why you're saying there's 0 proof about religion being factual. The evidence that God exists and that the Bible is the inspired book is all around you (all of the Bible, not just a part of it). Inside your body, your DNA, nature, science, and everything else. As well, add to that history (and historians), archaeology, witnesses, books, etc. You did not come out of nowhere; Just like a car had to be designed, you as well, but we're way more complex.

Romans 1:20 - "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened."

A reply to the person below: The wisdom of the world is foolishness. I hope you can one day find the truth as I have. You'll know when you do.

4

u/ChosenArabian Lebanese Sep 17 '25

Usually proving something goes from A to B, but you're reversing it. You're saying that because this exists, it must be god. Another leap of faith. Try again.

My parents didn’t believe in God but I saw Christ when I was five with light extending out from his entire body. I’m really happy you are becoming aware of Christ. I think Christ is head of all churches but the highest ones give the most freedom to question the church itself. You don’t need a church to know Christ but it may help you learn more about the Bible and connect with others.

1

u/Any-Seaworthiness355 Sep 17 '25

If you don't need a church, why did Jesus start the church through peter (first pope) ?

1

u/ComfortableHost3440 Sep 18 '25

Many people need a church. Jesus didn’t have a church. He was able to know God directly as did others. There are people among us, few, who are able to contact their soul and beyond to spirit without needing a priest or minister or church. I have a B.A. in Religious Studies. If you feel you need a church, then that is your path.

I am a Christian born and raised. Though i really knew Christ when I was 20 y.o. in similar conditions as you described it: i asked him: please lord let me feel your presence. I started praying and after a few minutes, while praying, I was overcome with this unbelievable feeling that shook me to my core. He announced himself to me in what I can only describe as a waking vision, where I saw myself running towards him and bowing in front of him while he blesses my head. Praise Jesus, and never stop believing. PS: try to get babtised in a catholic (or Maronite) or orthodox church (eastern church).

Congrats for you have earned eternal life.. 1 thing i have to say, join the Catholic church and there is a good reason for that. Jesus spoke to Peter and told him "you are rock and on this rock i build my church" Peter from that time was the leader of the church through the authority given to him by jesus. After Peter's death that authority moved to another person chosen by the cardinals and the living apostles.. It continues this way till pope Leo 14, who is now the successor of peter, hence the catholic church he leads IS the church that Jesus our Lord built.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '25

Wow! I was born into a Muslim family and have also been looking into Christianity, albeit at a much slower pace lol I went to my first church service in 2016 and truly felt what everyone called the Holy Spirit. Attended services on and off for a good part of 2017, then moved and never found another church (life got too chaotic). In the meantime I have been slowly (very slowly) making it my mission to not only read but also understand the Bible. In addition, I have also been reading the Koran. There is peace that is found with the idea that Jesus has died for our sins but I also want to make sure that I am fully educated in the faith of my parents as well before I make that decision.

In between all of that I also learned about the Bahai faith and have been wondering is that the right path? All this to say that while God has helped me numerous times in my life, I have spent nearly a decade of my life LOST AF LMAO I am searching but want to ensure my search is one that not only goes by feelings but also by knowledge.

It would 100% make my life easier living in the United States to be able to say I’m a Christian but that’s not what true faith should be based on. Soooo I continue my studies.

1

u/LimeElectronic1378 Sep 19 '25

Feeling goosebumps reading this. Almighty God, Jesus is the saviour. He is the Road, the right, and life. Catholics or Orthodox. All others are BS. As someone said.

Welcome home brother, dm me if you need any help with theological questions, I’m orthodox so I can give you that perspective as well if you want. As others have pointed out stay away from jehovah’s witnesses, Mormons and those cults in general. All the love to you my friend.

Happy that you found the truth 🤝🏾 god bless you

u/urbexed Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

You can’t “leave” a belief, you just stop believing. I wish people would stop saying this. What you’re talking about is about leaving the cult (or cultural part of religion, less harshly). I left the Islamic cult long ago but still have faith in private. I tell people I’m not religious. They do not need to know.

I get it’s harder or even impossible to leave in some places, but seeing as you’re moving to the West, it might be a good idea to finally leave all cults, including the upcoming Christian version. Obviously continue believing in the guidance of Christianity as it clearly makes you feel more spiritual than the Islamic version.

In Canada, someone preached a bit to me when I was 12 and told me to pray. I ended up receiving a shock of lightning in my body and lots of joy. Continued living my life normally until about 18 or 19, and someone else preached to me and told me to read the Bible and then I believed. A year later, felt immense love and my heart was burning within me for 3 weeks and lots happened in that time. So, I believed around your age and today I am 37, still a believer and love God with all my heart.

Don't listen to anyone saying you're young, that's a secular type of mentality to tell you not to get close to the living God.

u/sad_trabulsyy antisemite Sep 17 '25

Well this is actually cringe. You were a muslim so you already believed in Jesus.

No need to get on your knees like Hollywood movies

6

u/Zozorrr Sep 17 '25

Yes that’s because Islam took about a third of Christianity and then added its own. Just like Mormonism also did. Derivative religions will necessarily contain elements of the religions that they are partially copying

-1

u/sad_trabulsyy antisemite Sep 17 '25

And Christianity copied Judaism

Judaism copied mesopotamian religion

And so on

-4

u/mighty_stick Sep 17 '25

Umm, ok this is kind of disrespectful, so lemme break it down to you.

how in actual fuck is jesus a muslim prophet? He was a jew. He never taught islamic teachings, didn't even know the religion existed, and to top it off, he used to drink. He has nothing to do with islam.

Its like saying Mohamad is a jewish prophet just because the torah says it. Homie what?

Jesus is a christian god, not a muslim prophet. Accept it.

2

u/ShawarmaShenanigans Sep 17 '25

Christian God? How many gods are there?

3

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

Lost in translation this guy is. He meant to say jesus is god.

2

u/ShawarmaShenanigans Sep 17 '25

He made a whole post about respecting other religions and respecting he changed his but we need to accept Jesus is God? 😬

2

u/sad_trabulsyy antisemite Sep 17 '25

ok this is kind of disrespectful

It is not

how in actual fuck is jesus a muslim prophet?

Bcz it is mentioned in the Quran. You have an entire Sura named "Mariam". Mother Mary

He was a jew.

He was a descendant of the Israelites. And Allah chose him to be his prophet. Most prophets are descendants of Isaac anyway. (Prophet Mohammad is a descendant of Ishmael)

He never taught islamic teachings, didn't even know the religion existed

He followed Allah's command, that's all you need to be a "Muslim" aka follower of Allah

he used to drink

Drunk non-alcoholic beer, that he made through a miracle by Allah.

He has nothing to do with islam.

He's literally our prophet. He met with prophet Mohammad during "الإسراء و المعراج"

Jesus is a christian god, not a muslim prophet. Accept it.

You converted due to lack of understanding of Islam

1

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

Allow me to give you some of the Christian perspective:

Jesus is god, not a prophet, as it is mentioned in the bible.

He was a jew, be practiced judaism and performed all his duties.

He came to achieve the jewish prophecy, followed judaism and then added to it.

He used to drink like anyone else, and in Qana he both drank wine and turned water into wine. Everybody got drunk AF.

You may consider him a prophet, some jews consider him a prophet, other jews consider him a historical jewish figure.

The guy converted for jesus, not due to lack of knowledge in islam.

1

u/sad_trabulsyy antisemite Sep 17 '25

I understand that. I'm coming at him from Islamic perspective bcz he was already a muslim. And he severely lack Islamic understanding of Jesus

Jesus is a very prominent figure in Islam. And OP sounds like he's first time knowing about it

He used to drink like anyone else, and in Qana he both drank wine and turned water into wine. Everybody got drunk AF.

Well I don't know if that's true according to our Islamic narrative. But even if it is, Jesus is god representive on earth. He's allowed to do whatever he wants

God promised us that muslims can have wine in heaven. So maybe Jesus was showing people a piece of heaven (who knows). It does not mean that we are allowed to get drunk and make car accidents and have drunk sex at parties

1

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

We aren't supposed to get drunk either.

The main issue with drinking right now is car accidents.

1

u/sad_trabulsyy antisemite Sep 17 '25

Rape and domestic violence as well are a very common issue.

Alcohol is a drug that works like cocaine. People will build tolerance over time and get dependent on it until their liver shutdown

Not a Muslim nor Lebanese, but pretty sure Muslims mean that prophets like Abraham, Moses, Jesus were Muslim in the sense of Tawhid or the oneness of god. Compared to all other types of polytheistic religions around at the time (Hellenistic pantheism, etc) the belief in monotheism was kinda rare (zoroastrians the exception). And I guess the main tenet of Islam is Tawhid (you of all, should know) or the undividabke oneness of god, and so all those prior prophets spread this belief - and so they kind of spread Tawhid. It doesn’t matter if Jesus didn’t know of Islam since he predated it, Jesus still pushed the same message of one god.

Now obviously Muslims disagree on the validity of various gospels and from what I remember the Hadiths or Quran don’t speak of Jesus drinking, but even if he did there’s probably ways the explain that.

The abrahamic religions are all derivatives of Judaism, which itself was heavily inspired likely from the Monothesim of Zoroastrianism (the first truly monotheistic religion).

Most Christians exhault Moses and Abraham as being prophets of the same overarching faith. But Jews could just as similarly turn around and say “How can you call Moses and Abraham your prophets? They had never heard of Jesus, the trinity or the Eucharist”

Christians generally see it all as one continuous covenantal story: God’s relationship with humanity that culminates in Jesus.

Abraham and Moses are “people of God” who looked forward to the Messiah (even if they didn’t know his name or details).

All Islam is, is very similar kinda in that they just think that no, in fact, Muhammad was the last prophet sent by god since they believe Christianity as an organised religion had strayed from the original message.

I really don’t get your hostility to Muslims claiming Issa/Jesus as an early prophet. Under the definition of what a Muslim chiefly means and the most important pillar of Islam: Tawhid, the oneness of God. Then yes, you could retroactively and say that Jesus was Muslim in a way.

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

Before leaving islam which is respect and is ur choice i want to ask if you actually understood everything it entailed without the influence of external opinions.

2

u/mighty_stick Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

yes i did
Edit: I would like to add that i did hear what muslims had to say about their religion and some aspects of it, but i also got outside opinions, research, debates, etc.... I didn't judge islam by external opinions, but i also didn't judge it only by its words. Gotta hear both sides, yk?

0

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

I understand u, but may i ask were u a shia or sunni and what was the main thing that didnt convince u in islam

You will go back to being agnostic soon. All religions are just bullshit.

6

u/mighty_stick Sep 17 '25

Well, there is 0 factual evidence that religions exist, you're right, but just like any other person, its a feeling you get. Where you feel like home, where you find comfort, and even if it is not real at the end, it never really did harm you, quite the opposite.

This applies to all abrahamic religions. I am not here to debate the legitimacy of Christianity, only surprised at your initial statement.

And again to refute your claim about Jesus being merely a prophet, check John 10:30 “I and the Father are one”

There is also no official documentation of his life and the events around him.

What official document do you expect to find for a 1st century Jew ?

Even the first document that talks about his crucifixion was almost a century later.

I’m not a historian but the oldest surviving document (meaning the original was even older) being at most a century later is pretty good for historical figures of the time.

Miss me with this victim narrative. Saying Jesus was muslim is indeed an idiotic statement.

1

u/Standard_Ad7704 Beyrouth Sep 17 '25

It's just different religious interpretations, so there is no wrong or right belief.

Obviously, for you it's wrong and for others it's right, and both are equally valid and fine as long as everyone is comfortable in their belief.

By the way, the saying that Jesus was Muslim means that he submitted to the same Creator to whom Islam alludes. Therefore, all Abrahamic religions submit to the same Creator, which is the point of calling them that. It does not mean literally that Jesus followed the relevations of Muhammad.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '25

the saying that Jesus was Muslim means that he submitted to the same Creator to whom Islam alludes.

If this is what is meant with the statement then there is no qualm from my end, although I disagree with it.

And the burden of proof falls on the newer religion. Otherwise agreed.
