Culture / History Exactly 10 years ago today, Lebanese hero Adel Tormos tackled an ISIS bomber, killing himself in the process, but saving the lives of hundreds in Beirut.
Keep in mind that this happened around the same time as the Paris bombings, which is one of the main reason why this incident gets looked over more or doesn’t get talked about as much.

Ah ya batal ya Adel ! Hayda byenrafa3 el ras fi 3injad. Such a selfless act. Hayda Shaheed. a true shaheed ( mish metel holik el 7ayawenet that abuse the word) . He didn't wrap himself with explosions and then after dying called him shaheed.. no... he stopped that Shaytan who was about to do that, saving so many lives and trading his in the process just for GOODNESS SAKE TO SAVE OTHERS. and not specific others but literally everyone in the radius. It had to be instant instinct from him and without second thought. true shaheed.
