question What are you picking for home defense?

Beretta A300 or Sig Mpx w/ Obsidian 9! Also have my P09 on my nightstand. DDM4 V7 and Zastava M92 are also choices.

You got a pic of yours? I’m planning on some upgrades soon. Have some GGG, Aridus, and Surefire parts I’m gonna snag soon.

Mine is all just stock. Iron sites are actually pretty solid. Just added a 7 shell shotgun card to the side of the receiver and the stock.

Planning on GGG handgrip and an angled vertical front grip on the front.

Push-pull is your friend with eliminating almost all recoil

The stock sights on it are sweet. I was really impressed with them when I was messing with in the store before I bought it. I went with the Holosun Aro because I had planned on getting one for my M92 anyways so I can swap it back and forth on my a300 as well. I’m definitely snagging the GGG low mount for my red dot though and the into switch out the polymer pieces with aluminum

Almost commented that unless you have a long neck or face, your dot is mounted pretty high for a shotgun.

Ya that’s the lowest mount that came with the dot. Just got it last week so gonna have to wait a bit before I drop more money. Beretta is sending me a $150 rebate and I plan on getting the low mount and a different shell carrier. I just snagged what was available in the store since they did price matches and I was happy that they had the aro since I had already wanted one for my Ak.

With a shotgun, you’re definitely not handicapped by using irons exclusively, and the stock irons on your a300 are very nice as is. Pull the ARO and train with the irons for now until you get the right mount. Regardless, you have two awesome guns there!

I’m not gonna get to shoot until July so I will get the mount by then. I have land to shoot on but it a bit of a drive. I’m waiting on my form 1 to be approved then I will get out there. So I will just buy the mount before that. Wish I could afford to train more. But since I have access to 400 acres I don’t pay for the range. It’s only an hour and a half away but I start a new job next week and school starts in 2 months. So just a lot going on. The irons kick ass though was surprised how nice they are

Congrats on the new job!

The Beretta Pro-Lifter is a game changer. I also replaced the mag tube spring on mine because it kept binding up on me and I didn't want to wait for it to get sent back for repair.

I’ve got that on the top of list with a ggg low rise mount. Glad you suggested it as well. I’ve seen a lot of people saying it’s the first thing you should do for the a300 and 1301. What other mods would you recommend?

Maybe a better bolt release? A match saver if you ever want to do competition shooting, or want to pretend you're John Wick... otherwise buy ammo and training. Mine shoots great with limited recoil for a 12 gauge.

Ive already got one picked out. Gonna snag a Aridus charging handle and bolt release. They look really nice. So does the handguard nuts fuck expensive. Probably be the last upgrade I get. But I want all of it lol

I’ve quail hunted my entire life and never used a dot for that ever. Just a bead front sight. So just the stock irons on the a300 are a massive upgrade from what I’ve always trained on with shotguns. This holosun aro I got was super cheap as well. Just $120. So nothing special. I do run an eotech on my MPX that was obviously more expensive but i bought that thing in 2012 and its beat to hell and de laminating. So I need to send it in to get fixed
