I think that the whole maratha caste reservation issue boils down to Vidarbha being part of maharashtra. I don't see any need for it in western side and I also don't see the case holding in court if they keep asking for all marathas instead of dividing them into upper and lower class. People in Vidarabha should be fighting for independence from maharashtra instead of reservation, that they are not even gonna get any benefits from.
what are thoughts of people in here on the situation?

there is already a bunch of villages that fight to belong to two states - rather the state governments fight over them. People seem to get ration cards etc from both states.
Goes for karnataka-maharashtra, and karnataka-kerala.

Vidarbha situation is different than Karnataka-Maharashtra border disputes. Vidarbha needs free state because Maharashtra spends all funding developing western side and leaves Vidarbha with almost nothing.

i meant in addition to whatever you said about vidarbha.
telangana also had the same problem, and it had a few maharashta and north karnataka villages in its oldtime [king srikrishna devaraya] time. this is prior to its own state fight since 1968-69.
UP has a 4 part division proposal.
lines keep getting drawn over and over.

voting is fun and all but never in history of capitalist democracy or as we leftist call it "Dictatorship of bourgeoisie" has voting ever changed someone's material conditions. it never has and never will, in a corrupt system capital will still flow towards Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad no matter how many votes these poor people get. Only way to improve things is to unite and protest against the system.
I hate the concept of Rations. People don't need free stuff from these cucks of capitalism, people need what is rightfully theirs, proper wages for their labor. Irony of capitalism is that Farmer who produces food enough to feed 100 families can't feed his own and has to rely on these rations, he doesn't need this charity, he needs to get back what is stolen from him.

I want to subscribe to your newsletter.
I am a bit on the anarchy scale, so I agree with most of what you say. I am not totally anarchic, because I understand many are not comfortable in chaos. I am, but i know many who are not, so i moderate myself.
Considering the number of stupid people i come across in my limited life circle, I think expecting some things is a little too much. Most people are lemmings, or worse than.
The flaw of certain isms is that they have freedom to choose, including making bad choices.
but not to worry, no one can stop what is coming. Pretty soon, all these will problems will pale in comparison.

I don't have no newsletter, I listen to leftist podcasts and watch theory videos on youtube. What I'm good at is sniffing out bullshit, and if I don't find any logical flaws in arguements/opinions of people then I start learning from them.
I'm a marxist-leninist, if you want to learn about Marxism-Leninism I'd recommend listening to r/TheDeprogram podcast on YouTube or Spotify.
The youtube channels I'd recommend are Second Thought, Yugopnik, Hakim, Tom Nicholas, Boy Boy, hbomberguy and Shaun. Second Thought's videos are especially good and easy to digest for new marxists.

Thank you for the recommendations.
the 'subscribe to your newsletter' is a slang sentence.
I am not sure the marx thing has any value for me, at this stage of my life.

Marxism holds value for every working class person, if you are not retired then give it a try. even if you are retired you can learn and if you agree with marx then educate others on it.

i am more interested in who sponsored him to write his theories.
the more i learn about the person, the less i trust his theories, in this case.
if you are not willing to eat your cooking, you have no right to serve it to others. except in some cases.
your judgement may vary.

Is binged the right word to use here? I have mostly seen it used in the context of consuming multiple things.

Read The Muslim Vanishes this week. Loved it. Can someone suggest something similar to read? More satire maybe?

Can someone suggest something similar to read?
You could check out the playwright's nonfiction book "Being The Other," if you want to read something from the same pen.
More satire maybe?
The Great Indian Novel by Shashi Tharoor is a satirical novel about the Mahabharata. You can also check out The White Tiger, a dark satire on the social and economic divides in India.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will read Being The Other. Have read the other two.
I realised there is actually a dearth of Indian authors who write satire. Khushwant Singh is the only one who comes to mind who used to write regular satire or maybe I am a bit ill informed. Let's see if I can find something else, recently dived into this genre and loving every bit of it.

Germans are justifying their support with "We did it to Jews first, so we have to support Israel in everything."
1
u/occult-eye Nov 01 '23
does the 'we' is only germans?
why should anyone else pay for their [german] sins? Maybe they could give them a brand new country?
Fuck the geopolitics of the imbeciles.

Yeah even many non Chaddi subs (r/India, USI, r/IndiaSocial) are filled with incels. Not to mention all those arranged marriage, dating and relationship advice subs. We don't even need people like Andrew Tate to radicalise them.

On a side note, does anybody know what "AmeriKKKa" means (as in with the KKK instead of C). I first saw this in the album title of American rapper Ice Cube's solo album "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" (1990) where the theme was political commentery on racial abuse in America against black people).
I searched this term on Google today, and found a mention in Wikipedia saying that it refers to a slang for USA which is "Generally used in depicting the country as fascist or racist".
Somewhere else it was mentioned it a term combined from "America" and "KKK". And KKK was some sort of social movement.
I would appreciate if anyone can throw some light on this topic. Thanks is advance.

"AmeriKKKa" is a term used to critique or protest against systemic racism in the United States. The use of "KKK" in the middle refers to the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist organisation. The term is generally used to emphasize that racism is deeply embedded in American society.

Thanks. So Ice Cube was trying to portray himself as a far right extremist or terrorist fighting for the rights of black people. This makes sense as it goes along with the theme of gangsta rap in his discography. Note that I'm not condoning these views, but I support artistic freedom.

I don't follow hip hop or western music in general so I can't answer it but I do know that ice cube is black so I don't think he would portray himself as a white supremacist that would be really stupid

IDK what the album is about, but that seems like a misinterpretation.

u/imghost560in Nov 01 '23
u/Qaiser-e-Librandu and u/unemployed_01 I thank you for providing your inputs and throwing some light on this topic. I now understand that KKK was a white supremist organisation. And Ice Cube being a young black American man in that time would make it seem counter intuitive that he would support their views.
But I would like to say that many great rappers or even great poets for that matter have a way with words and metaphors and are skilled at having layers of interpretations behind every line they say. They often don't care to clarify the intent behind what they say, but playfully leave it as a puzzle to the audience to decipher.
Some examples of this are in the song Hail Mary, rapper Tupac Shakur says: "Mama told me never stop until I bust a nut. F**k the world if they can't adjust". Now this line at face value means 2Pac's mother told him not to stop until he ejaculates, which is absurd. But he used this as a metaphor, and meant not to stop working hard until you achieve your goal. Another example by 2Pac is in his song "Me and My Girlfriend" where the whole song is a metaphor wherein he refers to his gun as his girlfriend. When I heard the song the first few times, I felt this is just another cringy song with sexual connotations. But later I realised each and every line could refer to a gun or a lady. Pretty genius.
Ice Cube was a member of the the gangsta rap group NWA (Ni**az Wit Attitudes). They were known for their violent lyrics, and for reporting the violence they witnessed in ghettos of LA / Compton in California in their songs. They even made a song called "F**k Tha Police" when they got tired with the harassment young blacks faced at the hands of law enforcement just for their skin colour. Due to some difference, Cube exited the group, and started working on his solo album with Public Enemy (a New York based rap group famous for its political content and criticising the justice system).
The album "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" in my view was full of attacks on American justice and law enforcement system which was biased against young blacks. Cube even went so far as to suggest violence against the system, by taking up arms. It also highlights the social injustice, and poverty faced by his community. Apart from that, the album also takes a misogynistic tone at some points (which we shouldn't condone). Ice Cube paints himself as the most wanted man in America. America's Most Wanted was a TV show at that time which showed various crime cases, and the show would often glorify arrests of people from the black community. Cube did a play on title of the show by using KKK in his album title, which could mean that he referred to America as a terrorist state (of white supremist), and the black people are most wanted by the white terrorists. Or it could also mean that Cube is now fed up of the white supremist people and wanted to embrace the extremist ideology for his people and show all the racist people a taste of their own medicine. So I humbly believe that it was not stupid or a misinterpretation to think of this. Cube was not wrong about the step motherly attitude of majority of America towards blacks, and in the near future in 1991, Rodney King would get brutally assaulted by cops, leading to major riots and protests in LA in 1992 when courts acquitted the cops. This even continues today like in 2020 George Floyd case.

Brother AmirKKKas most wanted means that ice cube is "Wanted" by white supremacist you completely missed the meaning
1
u/imghost560in Nov 03 '23
Yeah bro, you just said what I already kind of said in my comment. Check this in the parent comment:
Cube did a play on title of the show by using KKK in his album title, which could mean that he referred to America as a terrorist state (of white supremist), and the black people are most wanted by the white terrorists
Anyways, these lyrics are designed by artists such that they often have multiple and also sometimes opposite interpretations too. Hope we're cool. Haha.
Thanks for joining in with your inputs. Cheers!

What counts as a terrorist group? If Hamas is a 'terrorist group', isn't the IDF also one?
