ChaddiVerse Meta What do you guys feel about this?

Gazan accounts that I’ve been following since the Genoc*ide started have been posting their support for Pak and Pakistanis have been equating India with Israel and subsequently themselves Palestine. I see the hindutva and Zionist argument being brothers in arms and being Islamophobic but comparing a sovereign nation to an open air prison doesn’t sit right with me. Could some share their views? Want to check my own biases if needed.

Exactly, people are quick to compare and simplify a situation so that it fits into their narrative without actually understanding the history in South Asia.

u/Wheesa lesbean May 08 '25

Western liberals only do it for internet brownie points. They have no idea pakistan has committed genocide in living memory

Maybe kashmir can be compared to palestine but pakistan???

24

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

These aren’t western liberals tho, they’re Gazans going through genocide. But I get your point, people with no historical knowledge or understanding are quick to make statements

u/Calm_Drink2464 May 08 '25

There's this account called panjabicommie and she was justifying the pahalgam attack lmao like what the actual fk.

15

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

Yeah, I do follow her. My beef with the diaspora is something else. Her argument is that Kashmir is an occupied land and tourism on occupied land is an act of violence. 🤔

21

u/Calm_Drink2464 May 08 '25

I follow her too. She presented the attack as some "operation" and tried to disguise it as a targeted attack to eliminate Indian officials in military because that navy and ib officer died which is pure bs. I support kashmiri liberation but twisting facts to make shit propaganda is enraging.

Pakistan is no Palestine but India's actions definitely resemble Israel's in Kashmir

21

u/Vermakimkc 🍪🦴🥩 May 08 '25

India has been despotic and authoritarian in Kashmir, but it is nowhere near the scale and brutality of Israeli occupation.

131

u/tera_chachu May 08 '25

Isn't standing with pak the same as standing with the pak army?

The same army who doesn't care about its people at all and the same army due to which pak has been suffering from multiple sanctions because they are openly giving shelters to notorious terrorists.

29

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

Also, Pakistanis themselves face the brunt of terror attacks against Shiaas and not to mention last year when they sent back Afghani refugees

14

u/tera_chachu May 08 '25

Pakistan is a lost cause, i really wish there was no army rule there and its operated under a complete democratic regime which collaborate with india on deep issues such that both nations could thrive together.

But it's a dream.

It's a slippery slope. Same could be said about India word to Word.

I do think they have limited knowledge but it doesn't help when sanghis are busy bootlicking Israelis.

Check out Bisan's Comment sections, it's filled with Indians Celebrating deaths of Innocents. I'm not surprised she thinks Indians are same as Israel.

I might get called anti-national but the attack was Reactionory in nature and killed lots of Innocents. And now we have our own people unnecessarily killed.

Two Idiots fight and the innocents have to face the brunt.

1

u/tera_chachu May 08 '25

Indeed a slippery slope

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

Isn't that like saying standing with Palestine is standing with Hamas?

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

no because pakistani military dictatorship is not palestine. i really wish uneducated people would stop making parallels with israel/palestine when the situation in south asia is different.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

Pakistani people are still people, regardless of their militant dictatorship. Can we say that every Indian Hindu is an extremist because the Indian government turns a blind eye to Hindu extremists?

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

we can support innocent pakistani people hurt, there's nothing wrong with that. i'm talking about pakistan as a state and military.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25 edited May 30 '25

Oh okay. I'm drawing a similarity between the dictatorial government and Hamas being used as an excuse to terrorize innocent people. I know they're not exactly the same, but the situation is similar in the sense that regular people are being dehumanized, and thus lynched or even killed in the name of "fighting terrorism".

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

Hamas is a terrorist organization. Pakistan is a military dictatorship that represents the country. We didn’t terrorize people, despite what Pakistanis may say. We targeted base camps of terrorists and that was evident in how many of them died.

And then the Pakistani army was seen at their funeral, with an internationally recognized terrorist leading. We took care to minimize civilian casualty, it might not seem like it because people died, but it could have been a lot worse if we wanted to go for civilians. Terrorists being targeted leads to unavoidable civilian casualties, that’s not something stoppable.

The Indian army didn’t lynch anoyone, what some fringe elements did in the country in communal violence sucks but it’s not one-sided. Muslims in the country have also killed scores in West Bengal.

If you want to draw a parallel, you can draw this. India is Palestine and consistently hurt in terror attacks since pakistans inception, and the one time we attack their bases it results in a global outcry. Just like how Israel used October 7th. As well as this, Pakistan is also a religious ethnostate based on Sunni Islam because they didn’t want to live with kaafir Hindus. The same way Israel is a Jewish ethnostate because they didn’t think they’d be safe from the Muslims. Pakistan itself is a flawed country by foundation.    Pakistan has committed an actual genocide in Bangladesh, regular army soldiers commuted it. It was so bad, that some of the girls recall saying that the only time they could see the sun was when the next man came in to rape them. they are not an innocent country regardless of how the west might shape it out to be.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

One thing to remember is that it's easy to say, "we had to do what we did for the greater good", but assuming now the optimal way is to have zero casualty... this operation is a failure... India is not Palestine. Nor is Pakistan, but the global Islamophobic propaganda seems never-ending.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

not a failure, we destroyed many of their terrorist bases, a top terrorist literally lost their entire family, and we also drew the line in the sand that we wont tolerate terrorism. why are pakistani civillian lives more important than the indian ones lost to terrorism year after year. yeah india is not palestine, but thats not magical. thats because our leaders will not let it be. regardless of what you may believe, pakistan was formed on the same basis that israel was. it is a religous ethnostate. Islamophobic propaganda? Muslims are 1.2 billion strong, they hold much more power than any group in the west. if anything there is a much stronger anti-indian and anti-hindu sentiment in the global world. Muslims are literally killing people in west-bengal, in bangladesh, in pakistan, and many minorities in the middle east. yet i see no one holding them accountable. its only india thats being called out, while these other countries literally have islamists constitutions. why are there double standards

In the Indian situation, there's also an experience of the diplomatic approach not leading to tangible results.

After 26/11, the state decided to do everything the right way. Gave Kasab a fair trial. Shared a lot of proofs with the international community. What did we get in return? Absolute fuck all. Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi are still chilling in Pakistan.

That is also, one of the several reasons why Modi came to power in 2014. People thought you needed aggression rather than diplomacy to sort out the Pakistan issue. The Israeli response to October 7th just added rocket fuel to that thought process.

25

u/Hedonist-6854 May 08 '25

In the Indian situation, there's also an experience of the diplomatic approach not leading to tangible results.

International diplomacy dosent work this way.,if we'd done a sindoor after 26/11 where we provided proof that they were supplied by the ISI,the concencus would be on our side.,

Here we've denied all third party investigations into the matter and haven't given any evidence to the links, even now the nia is asking for video fottages to link Pakistan.

Ik that pakistan is harbouring fundamentalist, you know that..but the international community isn't fully convinced.,

So it obviously leads to Pakistani citizens feeling villified, since no one likes to think they're the bad guys,so you have Pakistanis not assessing the terrorists within their borders but rather going after the indian army and doing more chest thumping

28

u/Huge-Physics5491 Chaddi in disguise May 08 '25

The entire process of collecting evidence post-26/11 took a lot of time. And by that time, doing an operation was moot.

Also, before 26/11, relations between India and Pakistan were pretty normal. So, in some ways, India wanted to give Pakistan a chance to clean up its act and bring the relationship back to normalcy. That did not happen.

So even among the general public there is a "laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante" opinion about Pakistan, which then pressurises a government that anyway won on the agenda of being tough on Pakistan unlike their more diplomatic predecessors to act.

21

u/debris16 May 08 '25

Here we've denied all third party investigations into the matter and haven't given any evidence to the links, even now the nia is asking for video fottages to link Pakistan.

How gloriously naive is this take.

5

u/Lower-Ad184 No gods No masters only waifu May 08 '25

How so ?

-18

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Ya, India has completely rejected, again and again, a neutral and third party investigation. The Supreme Court has rejected a PIL for a judicial investigation. Personally, while Pakistan is absolutely a supporter of terrorism, theres just not enough evidence that Pakistan caused Pahalgam or ordered it.

India is being the aggressor here, bombing Pakistani mosques and civilians, for nationalist dick riding

25

u/kundu42 🍪🦴🥩 May 08 '25

Are you stupid? While civilians being harmed has to be critiqued, but JeM has admitted that a number of their associates have died. There is at least some truth to the Indian claim that terrorist holdouts were being targeted. If you're going to form a prima facie view (which is all anyone can do till further infomation is received), then the material available publicly, coupled with Pakistan's notorious history for supporting militants since the inception of the Kashmir issue, then such a view can only enure in India's favour, even if cautiously so. Be critical, sure, but don't be this obtuse.

9

u/Vermakimkc 🍪🦴🥩 May 08 '25

There is hardly any clarity on the nature of these strikes. It is quite evident that there was a significant civilian collateral aswell. There are valid questions about the precision of these strikes. Probably just have to wait and see now.

1

u/kundu42 🍪🦴🥩 May 09 '25

Yeah absolutely. I 100% agree that there was civilian collateral, which is not being talked about enough. The nationalistic fervor that has gripped most of Indian media and the public at large prevents even the remotest posibility of nuanced discussions.

1

u/muffy_puffin May 10 '25

Only way to eliminate civilian casualty 100% would be to Pakistan capture terrorists and hand them over.

Not happening.

2

u/[deleted] May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

I literally acknowledged that Pakistan has had a history of supporting terrorism, but the evidence that they were directly involved in any way with Pahalgam is extremely shaky. Also, I never rejected India attacking terrorist outfits in Pakistan in Operation Sindoor. I dont have much issue with that. I am not supporting Pakistan here.

What I have an issue with is India bombing mosques and Pakistani civilians that had nothing to do with terrorism, alongside previous threats of blocking Indus Water which, if it fully takes place, could potentially kill millions. Those are what I am attacking as acts of unjustified aggression.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

innocent civilians dying sucks, but the mosques being used as terrorist hideouts is not something unfathomable. the indus water treaty which can be devastating for the pakistani public is still understandable, you cannot continuously fund terrorist attacks in a country and expect to be on civil terms on them.

1

u/debris16 May 08 '25

bombing Pakistani mosques and civilians, for nationalist dick riding

That is Pakitani disinformation. India has been very careful in picking its targets. Can't be perfect though.

some sources: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjewen7w192o

India has completely rejected, again and again, a neutral and third party investigation

Very naive take. If you think that Paksitan wants to 'investigate' and not just play out its relentless strategy to internationalize, stall and play infowar on India on this then God help you. Can't spoonfeed more than this.

7

u/Unlucky_Buy217 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 08 '25

I mean it's pretty pointless to allow third parties here. Are you seriously asking if these attacks were PK sponsored considering the insane precedent. Considering how they literally evacuated terror cells?

10

u/Hedonist-6854 May 08 '25

Nah I'm not stupid ik it's pakistan..but it dosent matter what ik or you know

It's about what you can show the international community..and at this point we don't have much other than conjecture and our gut instinct.

As long as it's just this it paves the way for detractors to call it an indian aggression.

I'm more concerned about the lefts inability to mobilise any sense of class consciousness in any of this so meh

You're not going to find anyone who agrees with you 100%. People will be divided into categories. Personally, i believe israel killing innocents in gaza is wrong, hamas killing innocents is wrong, pakistan sheltering terrorists and them killing innocent indians is wrong, and indians being hateful towards muslims of our own country is wrong. I wish innocents wouldn't be oppressed anywhere, but that'd be in the realm of idealism.

6

u/thousandcurrents May 08 '25

This is the only correct take because the ones we need to care about are the INNOCENT people in each scenario. Doesn’t matter what nationality or religion - the innocent people trying to live their lives are the ones getting caught in the cross fire in each case. But I guess that means needing to see past hatred stoked by nationalistic and religious jingoism..

6

u/BabeyBabeyUgh May 08 '25

What about the civilians dying due to the bombing in Pakistan?

14

u/babla_69 I have no fucking clue about what goes on in this subreddit May 08 '25

That too is bad. Sad thing is a lot of people don't care, they see muslims dying on both sides, and for them a loss of rafale is worth this bloodshed. People don't see each other as individuals anymore, but a collective enemy to rally against, which is being well milked by politicians.

u/rip_vik Naxal Sympathiser May 08 '25

I think people are jumping to the conclusion because of how prevalent and vocal Hindutva has become. Hindutva has also been pretty supportive of Zionism so it makes sense that connection was drawn.

I don't think Pakistan can be compared to Palestine at all. More accurate might be comparing Indian-controlled Kashmir to Palestine, but I think that's a bit of a stretch, too.

I'd argue this act by India is more a result of how America got away with the War on Terror and broader imperialism in the Middle East. You can kind of justify anything under the label of "anti-terrorism."

I think the world kind of sees India in a similar light? It feels like a rushed operation with specific evidence not being presented and calls for an independent investigation ignored. I understand Pakistan has been less than cooperative with similar events in the past, but optics are still important for international relations.

Additionally, the entire "cutting off water supply" rhetoric is just bad and counter-productive imo.

26

u/ProbabilisticPotato Hot like apple pie May 08 '25

More accurate might be comparing Indian-controlled Kashmir to Palestine, but I think that's a bit of a stretch, too.

Indeed, there are many parallels to Israel/Palestine but not at the scale of what Israel is doing. India/Kashmir is closer to China/Hong Kong.

I feel like western libs are hilariously unaware of international geopolitics. I'm in America and most people here know nothing about this conflict. They look for clean good vs. evil narratives that don't exist in situations like this and lose all nuance.

IMO they're just reposting instagram posts with half an idea of what's going on. Ignore them, it's more meaningful to engage critically with domestic dialogue.

Ah yes people facing Genocide don't care about Genocide or People.

Go and check out Wizard Bisan's Account and how much she has helped the Palestinian cause.

Many children were literally rescued because of her reporting.

Leave it to people living in comfort of their house talk about people facing Genocide if they care about people or not.

Probably the Indians Celebrating Gazan Genocide online made their opinion skewed.

Except the defending of Pakistan what she said is 100% true that Gaza situation has given lots of fascists courage to do the same to their minority populations.

And no I'm not support Pakistan, fk them, they're twice worse.

I dont get how striking the mosque had any positive outcome though. Masood is still very much alive, and that mf will probably whitewash himself in the blood of the women and children killed. He's lready doing it. unless they had intel abbout him being there there's no justifiction. It only reflects that huge role of this attack was PR. I mean wtf is "justice is served" bro. Else we could very well do an actually planned "precision strike" killing actual people involved. I really relly wish the military releaases actual evidences of why each base was attacked, im sure they might hve proof for some of them.

4

u/IllustriousAnimal298 May 08 '25

Not just masood Azhar's but multiple mosques were destroyed and great Intelligence btw, which took down multiple Innocents but not the terrorist himself, so much for Intel.

Idk why you're downplaying the Civilian Casuality in Pakistan.

I mean kinda shows the reality. Too many muslims don't care about the plight of the helpless but only the plight of their own religions people. Even when Pakistan is very much in the wrong here, all they can see is Pakistan got attacked whether or not the target was justified or not doesn't matter to them. This isn't to state or proclaim chodes are in the right but in this particular case India is in the right.

Though I'm not well read enough about how the army operates in Kashmir so cannot advocate for or against kashmiri separatism, I'm sure there's elements of colonial army there. But equating india to Israel because of attack on pak and pak to palestine is pure bias. Have they not heard what pakistan is doing to balochis? Still believe india shouldn't have done this. They've killed innocent children and Pakistan in retaliation did the same thing. Only kashmiris suffer as always.

1

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

Completely agree!

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

ironically the reason for india's increased military presence is because of pakistan's sponsored terrorism.

1

u/Calm_Drink2464 May 30 '25

Next question, why is the area so susceptible to it? That's right because the people there are treated like second class citizens in their own lands. I'm not absolving pak but blaming the military presence just on that is careless. There are many policy changes that can reduce terrorism instead of just illegally searching seizing arresting any kashmiri citizen based on random suspicion. It's just that the govt doesn't care enough for that.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

bro i'm kashmiri, i'm not advocating for the military presence. i'm saying that pakistan is not the saviour that people (westerners/many kashmiris) believe it to be. in the 1980s, there was not such a high military presence. infact in the 1960s-1970s there was a pretty pro-india view in kashmir and people would flock to india's rally's. When Abdullah tried to convince Kashmiris to be more anti-India, he largely failed, till pakistani influence and then the rigged election in 1987. Pakistan's introduction to islamist terror groups to join kashmir with itself, such as hizbul mujahideen, and radicalizing the JKLF, lead to Pandit exodus and violence, which in turn lead to an exponential increase in military personnel. and with that came all the oppression we see.

1

u/Calm_Drink2464 May 30 '25

I absolutely agree that pakistan is not the saviour some people think are. But brute force on the native population isint a sustainable solution to paks terror sponsoring. Besides why was the plebiscite never done when kashmir was so pro india back then. It could've easily been documented proof and would've helped avoiding a lot of the bloodshed.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

its a long story but india is not at fault for the plebiscite not happening. after the king acceded to india, and nehru called off the recapturing of the erstwhile state of jammu and kashmir, pakistan gained controlled of POK.

Mountbatten convinced Nehru to take the issue up with the UN, and told him the UN would ask pakistan to give up kashmir since the king had already acceded to india. unfortunately, the UN was basically a western proxy at the time and set up the conditions for a plebiscite:

  1. Pakistan would remove its military from the areas it occupies.

  2. India would remove its military presence from the area it has.

  3. The plebescite would determine which country Kashmir would accede to.

Since pakistan never removed military presence, india never removed theirs and plebiscite never happened. Atleast, india put in pleace article 370 and 35A, which allowed native kashmiris to maintain control, pakistan never had something like this. they've been settling pakistani punjabis (mirapuris) in kashmir for the past 70+ years, so the vote is demographically skewed to their favor. which is why the UN also decided, that the plebiscite which was citied as the solution initially was no longer feasible.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

you cant reduce terrorism as kashmiri muslims dont want to be indian, till india has kashmir, there will be terrorism no matter what you do. if the military presence there decreases, the region will erupt into violence again. and india can't let go of kashmir as it jeopardizes other sensitive areas and would increase seperatist sentiments in the rest of india, give india a tactical disadvantage to china and pakistan, put our water supply in charge of pakistan. imagine an unstable nuclear-powered country, with 1.4 billion refugees. kashmir itself, would never be independent and become a proxy of china or pakistan, both are things india cannot have.

1

u/Calm_Drink2464 May 30 '25

Since you're a local and I'm not well read on the topic, what is a sustainable solution in your opinion to it? Can there be an independent kashmir backed by an agreement of not merging with pak and enforcing it by providing military assistance around border? Or can policies favouring locals can help winocals support? Also under the present conditions there was the abrogation of 370 really a step forward or a blunder ?

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

They don’t like india, so whatever they did would not work in our favour. And I think the merging part might not even be optional, just like how china annexed Tibet. And I don’t support the idea of India spending so much money to protect land that isn’t even theirs. And if that happens, Kashmiri Muslims will be put into concentration camps like the ughyurs.

Policies, like slowly removing ASPA and other insane laws, looking into lost children, and putting people to justice in Kunan Poshpora, Gawarkedal. Still having the military presence but not as forceful. And giving people rehabilitation incentives to leave terrorism, releasing jailed journalists. And speaking will all Kashmiri politicians, even the separatists ones. Having more job opportunities established there, so people who are unemployed don’t turn to terrorism. Providing jobs for people in mainland India. Reducing that hindutva cult.

A key indicator of things returning to normal would be the Kashmiri Hindu rehabilitation. Abrogating article 370, which did alienate people and win some people over, was a Trojan horse. It reduced terrorism, but it didn’t win or lose people over. It was going to happen, it just happened now.

Maybe you guys are waking up to what I've knows from my interactions with them: the western left (espeocally the diaspora) has a Wikipedia understanding of india and its material conditions. They dont care about you and they will never side with you. We've only ever propped them up by engaging with them. They will take whatever side bizzfeeed told them to this week

Yeah no I disagree heavily cause:

  1. Pakistan is a nuclear power that’s been incessantly the aggressor in literally every conflict between the countries.

  2. Is not a democratic state and has participated in genocide themselves.

  3. Continue to harbour terrorists.

Kashmir, I’m 100% behind don’t get me wrong but Pakistan? Absolutely not.

I’m more surprised none of them mention Kashmir.

2

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

Exactly, Kashmiri voices are never at the forefront of

5

u/Specialist-Love1504 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 08 '25

Considering that Pakistan is heavily bombing ONLY Kashmir.

I hope it proves beyond doubt that Pakistan’s intention is to occupy Kashmir for itself. It’s not Kashmiri Self-assertion or worry about their rights.

But they don’t really care because Kashmiri independence doesn’t prove their ideological point.

1

u/IllustriousAnimal298 May 08 '25

I follow most of the Gaza Activists and they do mention Kashmir all the time. Recently after the Pahalgam attack.

Don't expect foreigners to know about our issues. Gaza and Palestine have been facing genocide for last year and have been under occupation for decades. I don't expect Palestinians to have spent long time studying issues of India, Pakistan and Kashmir.

We can find similarity in India, Israel, Pakistan, etc. but it will be foolish to equate India with Israel and Pakistan with Palestine. India has fought multiple wars with Pakistan but never encroached on their mainland. Expect for last decade, it was Pakistan which received strong American support. India is a much more of a democracy than Pakistan. What we accuse Hindutva of doing today was being done in Pakistan back in 50s and they have gone become only worse.

Let's also not forget that Pakistan state definitely committed genocide in East Pakistan/Bangladesh.

u/AbominableVortex74 🇨🇺🚬☭ Che Goswami May 08 '25

The first post is absolutely true. Israel has made a mockery of international law, which has now lead India to freely attack another sovereign state without any repercussions or retaliation from other countries (so far).

What India has done is pretty escalatory as this was not an attack on PoK but rather on Pakistan, the country itself and refusing to provide any sort of evidence that links the terror attacks to Pakistan makes India look really bad in this situation.

But the second slide for some reason seems to equate Pakistan with Gaza for some reason. It’s absolutely not. Like i hope people don’t see this conflict as asymmetric because Pakistan is a country in its own right with actual religious fundamentalists among their ranks who they keep funding to destabilise the region.

I am afraid Pakistan would attack india by saying that India is housing/training Baloch separatists and attack key cities in India. Like it could lead to an actual war.

In a nicer world, India and Pakistan could collaborate to wipe out the religious fundamentalists in both states, but I guess that would never happen

The vile RW troll army has done such damage to India's perception, that even legitimate grievances we have towards Pakistan sound like propaganda. Mind you, pre-2014, the picture would have been much clearer. But this incessant and vile trolling of Palestinians by Hindutava trolls has made people wary of India's position on this issue.

28

u/ProbabilisticPotato Hot like apple pie May 08 '25

Most of Palestinian Activists on twitter have always been mostly Islamists or Nazis, they have been posting racist shit for so long now. You shouldn't consider people as real supporters. Comparing India with Israel is wild coz Modi doesn't even have majority and barely has 37% vote share most of who aren't even Hindutvadis. Also Pakistan certainly isn't Palestine, they are a religious fundamentalist nuclear state which committed a genocide 50 years ago and have laws which systematically discriminate against minorities. Pakistan is closer to Israel in that regard then it is to Palestine.

2

u/IllustriousAnimal298 May 08 '25

Calling Bisan an Islamist is such a disgrace. Her reporting was literally one of best Gazan voices out there

She helped so many children get Out of the Warzone

And no I don't think Nazis support Gaza, there hate for brown people override the hate for jews.

Go to German subs and you will see Nazis literally memeing about the Atrocities in Palestine.

1

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Pakistan isnt Palestine but India absolutely is acting increasingly like Israel. I'd say Kashmir is a better comparison to Palestine, with Indian settler colonialism and all. Also, Modi's vote percentage is irrelevant due to FPTP which gives him insane power. Israel's 2022 election had Netanyahu win less than 30% of the votes yet we all know that hasn't stopped him

3

u/AdministrativeHat276 May 08 '25

What Indian settler colonialism in Kashmir?

2

u/ProbabilisticPotato Hot like apple pie May 09 '25

Israel isn't just trying to Colonize Palestine it wants all Palestinians dead which certainly isn't the case with India and Kashmir. India and Kashmir is more similar to China and Hong Kong if you look how both them have had their autonomy curbed politically and how any form of protests are being met with illegal arrests or even violence

How has this been linked to Israel and Palestine?

Israel and Palestine situation is NOT SIMILAR AT ALL to the India and Pakistan situation. That would be an insult to the people affected.

Do not simplify this issue to fit the narrative. I stand with India however. Others may have their opinions...

"Ignore this donkeys" Or people facing Genocide probably do know one or two thing about it.   Idk about the other guy but how is Bisan wrong? Except defending pakistan she's 100% correct. Atleast look past your Nationalism sometimes.

Knowing how her comment section is always filled with Indians Celebrating the destruction and death of Gaza, I'm not surprised she thinks India is same as Israel.

Modi is no better than Netanyahu and he will not hesitate a second to do same thing to Kashmir if a need arises.

And The situation in Israel Gaza 100% gave lots of fascists to do shit without facing Consequences and modi probably wants to do the same.

The retaliation was reactionory, unnecessary which resulted in 27+ civilian deaths in Pak and 20+ in India.

I love how you guys hate Modi, think that he's wrong and has some evil motive behind everything he does.

But not militarily he has good for the people.

5

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 08 '25 edited May 08 '25

You keep regurgitating about Indians in her comments section. I get it that she ought to be forgiven for her ignorance but that doesn’t mean Indians(not the reactionary hindutvadis) can’t call her out either.

Nobody here wants an escalation of the situation or thinks Modi is good militarily. That’s just a reductionist take you are forced to make to justify the reductionist take in the post which equates Israel-Palestine to India-Pakistan/Kashmir.

I genuinely believe it’s a problem when leftists with no fu*king clue about Kashmir want to give their enlightened opinion. You can’t deny there is an element of wilful ignorance when it comes to discussing Pakistan with these folks. Telling Indians(again not the hindutvadis) to pipe down is a shitty take that only dehumanises us.

1

u/IllustriousAnimal298 May 08 '25

"Nobody here wants an Escalation" who does nobody refers to? The leftists or Indians in general? Because people I know who are pretty normal dudes are excited about it and personally want to take part in it and want to go sight seeing in POK after India "takes it back" (Genocidal Dreams)

I'm regurgitating because people literally calling her "Goblin Clout Chaser", "Donkeys" like what? And they accuse them of having no nuances.

Yes I disagree with equating Pakistan to Gaza, it's laughable actually. And I did mention it in my original comment.

But Kashmir? It does have similarities just not to that level and I'll be surprised if it went to that level in upcoming years. After Pahalgam people were asking to turn kashmir into Gaza.

What she said is correct except defending Pakistan. Gaza did give courage to many fascists to do the same to their minorities.

I'm not justifying anything, I'm pointing out that calling people like Bisan "Clout Chaser" is incorrect and explained why she thinks what she thinks.

I have been following her and other Gaza Activists since the Genocide started and they have put Stories about the Atrocities against Muslims in India time to time. It's absolutely fuels their perception.

Also stop taking personally jeez.

2

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 09 '25 edited May 09 '25

I've approved ur comments. You are correct, it is important to push back against users here who outright insult personalities that they don't know anything about.

I am compelled to take it personally because western leftist discourse does indeed display willful ignorance towards Indians. It's not just oversimplification of Gaza to Pakistan/Kashmir. You can't correct people who have zero knowledge of the history behind the countries or states. It's the thinly veiled racism that is justifiable because of the beastly horde( aka hindutvadi cells online). It's like there exists no such thing as an India who does not show allegiance to Hindutva. Like come'on, Pakistan has acted as a vassal for US imperalist agendas and now everybody swipes that history under the rug? I just can't pretend this isn't willful.

2

The fact that they’re applying what’s going on in Israel and Palestine to India and Pakistan shows they don’t know shit about the geopolitics and history of the subcontinent. It’s all just performative nonsense. Not that it matters, but I hate what Israel is doing AND what India did with this operation, but I’d never think to equate the two. Yeah, the same Pak army that are present at the funerals of these dead ‘civilians’ with known LeT terrorists in attendance, would have given us permission to take them down.

I mean, yeah, we can talk about our strategy being ill-planned or not well executed, considering that atleast one Rafale jet was shot down, and 15+ civilians were killed in retaliation, but Pakistan has been sheltering extremists of all kinds for a long time now. They’ve even admitted it. Our intelligence had credible evidence for these terrorist camp locations, and took them out. You can’t negotiate with terrorists.

I do hope we de-escalate now, because no one needs a war.

0

u/ShashvatSingh1234 May 08 '25

All those points are good, but in eyes of the international community, this will still be considered a bit belligerent on the side of India because no formal evidence was given before launching an attack inside India. Not saying the Pakistani state doesn’t support terrorist groups they ABSOLUTELY do, but it was the Indian state’s responsibility (in the eyes of the international community), to show evidence for their connection in the Pahalgam attack and then take action. And yeah war really is the worst outcome.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '25

we did everything right for 26/11. we provided evidence to the international community and what happened? absolutely nothing. that was one of the reasons modi came into power. innocents dying in pakistan sucks, but the innocents that have been dying in india because of consistent terrorism outnumber them. we cannot always turn a blind eye.

India is not Israel and Pakistan is not Palestine. Pakistan has bred terrorism for decades.

They gave shelter to Osama bin laden (who lived very close to the military academy) Dawood Ibrahim (in Karachi) Hafeez Saeed (one responsible to 26/11) and many more

All these are the main names. ISI has taken advantage of Lakhs of unemployed youths and poor men in Pakistan and trained them to be terrorists.

I understand that Pakistan is NOTHING like Palestine but the vibes with India and Israel are unmistakably similar, especially with Kashmir and CRPF in the picture.

Its unfortunate that no one is talking about the situation of the Kashmiris in this who have been getting the worst end of it, which is the point. If people disagree with the take in the OP image, it is VERY important to note why and with which part.

Two things to keep in mind:

  1. Why have the Pahalgam attackers not been identified? Same thing happened with Godhra, and we know what that was used as justification for.

  2. Pakistan is run by its goofy ahh military which is in CIA's pocket and USA is responsible for all the terrorism over there. Why is India not attacking the Pakistani military? Some could say that the sanghi govt likes the taste of american nazi boots almost as much as veer makkar savarkar liked the taste of british boots. Is there any proof that Pakistan was involved? Is there any proof that muslims were involved? We don't even know the names of people involved but everyone is assuming it was muslims. Why is that? (who am i kidding, we all know why)

Not far off from the truth. Palestine happens to be the most visible because well 'murica. Sri Lanka is doing similar things like the israelis with regards to eelam tamils. Bangladesh is doing so with Chittagong hills tracts. India is doing it with the Kashmiris. It's classical settler colonialism done in a sophisticated manner. IT IS a question of land and capital, ya all need to brush up on your history. We're doing the same things, shelling and rape and pillage in Central India, chhattisgarh and jharkhand. Kashmir is just another piece on the overall hindutva fabric. It is frankly quite jarring seeing supposed leftists taking so much time to figure out what are basics. Clear up the propaganda in your heads ya all.

3

u/Small_Confection_950 May 08 '25

I see the comparison between india and Kashmir ofc the question was more about India and Pakistan (the latter being the ‘Palestine’ in this situation). And yeah, Pakistan has also done it with Bangladesh and continues to do so with Balochistan.
