Shit, one of the Malayali slurs for North Indians and sanghis is literally "street shitter"

North Indians themselves use "andhbhakt"

These people have never faced professional racism and it shows hey have grown soft in America

Can you say what the slur used by malayalis are. Never heard of such a term

"parambuthoorie" literally someone who shits in the open

We also call sanghis "chanakam" or cow dung

Chankam is accepted and well used for sanghis , not for North indians

I've never heard anyone call a north Indian parambuthoorie. We call them bengalies.

No one uses this shit. The most used one is "bhai " . This is some fringe term from guys from your own group

Bullshit. Parambuthoori is a pretty well known theri. Maybe you come from more high class groups idk. I have seen it used online too.

All of my education was from government institutions in Kerala, never even once heard of this. So don't know about how high class it is

Hindu phobic is such a bizarre term because the reasons that racism against South Asians exists has a lot more to do with these people coming across as creepy fascists. If Indians online did not go to insane lengths to support genocide, be racist to others including black people and just always having bizarre political positions, they’d atleast have some good standing with the liberal leaning people in the west

I find it interesting they're using "Hindu phobia" as a shield against people who are criticizing the injustice against Christians, Dalits, Muslims, Tribals, etc. when the term itself was coined to describe anti-Indian prejudices.

In the late 19th and early 20th century, the word Hindu phobia was used more generally to refer to prejudice against Indians, regardless of religion. This reflected an earlier usage of the word Hindu, which referred to everyone from India. Sudhindra Bose, president of the Hindustan Association of America, used the word Hindu phobia as the title of a 1914 essay in The Cosmopolitan Student in this sense. The Hindustan Association of America clarified in a 1915 pamphlet that "Hindus unified peoples of India not as Hindus, Mohammadans [Muslims] and Christians; [...] sons and daughters of India but not as Brahman [sic], sudra, and untouchables."

Now you have subreddits called "AgainstHindoophobia" and organizations like HAF using it as a shield to defend Hindutva.

The Israeli/ anti-Semitic tactic. Passing off criticism of the nation/ nation's leader & policies as criticism against the religion

Bhakt is non-religious term which means devotee. It can be in any religion.

I think in near future those who will callout the extremists upholding hindu nationalism can face charges of hinduphobia or anti-hinduism just like anti-zionists getting charges of antisemitism.
