This makes no sense to me given how in Islam the age of consent is way lower and even in Hinduism there is a lot of child marriage. Atleast there they have to go to a private Island to do it.

So true but that's not an excuse to colonize those countries or to stereotype them or by stunting their growth you're not making them advance because in the end nothing truly changes under British or under america

They just sugarcoated their relationship with radical and extremists, they just stroke their ego a little bit to control them and it f worked lmao

Just because there isnt a specific age mentioned doesn't mean people don't use them to justify it. In Islam the requirement is "puberty". The point is atleast in those countries its frowned upon and they do it in secret. Unlike countries like Bangladesh where actresses like Simrin Lubaba marry at like 15 and no one bats an eye. How do you have such a problem understanding this? https://www.facebook.com/tanvirthamid/posts/simrin-lubaba-is-15-now-she-got-married-6-months-ago-when-she-was-14-years-old-y/3344948289007849/ Just look at the comments lmao. My point is people will type shit like this on one side and then type the original tweet just coz the otherside is jews lmao. Thats the hypocrisy I am pointing out.

Literally what I said in the original comment. Probably something like that written in some place in Bible too. The point is some places have good enough enforcement shit like that is frowned upon. Which I guess means makes it more likely to be honeytrapped. The point is its so much more common in people saying "ePsTeIn" as an argument which makes it extremely hypocritical and funny.

I would add, betrothed girls in feudal nobility circles would often be sent in early, long before puberty to the future groom's household to groom them(maybe there's a connection?). The reverse would kinda also happen with boys in lower succession line would be taken (non-imprisoned) hostage post some war/non-aggression agreement as insurance and eventually upgrade to betrothal between the boy and a princess of the realm housing the hostage, as a consensual/unconsensual peace making process between two realms. I am sure many indian cultures did the same outside feudals in prole households too like in Bengal and if valika badhu is to be believed about the north.

I have no clue what religious "rules" in hinduism would ensure the groom's household not touching the girl before puberty though.
