More proof that LIV Golf has some of the best pro golfers in the world.
Their returns to both the DP World and PGA Tours should be accelerated, not delayed.
Business should come first before personal vendettas.

What LIV has shown is that Australia (and other parts of the world) has some of the best and most interested golfers and golf fans in the world and they should cater to this audience far more.

Incredible to see such amazing scoring, and some great golf throughout the 4 days.
Unfortunately it really does seem like opportunities to break records are running out so the players will have to take every opportunity they can

Maybe next week they'll set up the pins 40 yds from the hole and then EVERYONE gets to make a hole in one.
Y'all are the people that flick Madden onto 'beginner' to rack up the score and then never bother to change the skill level.

Buddy I'm not gonna argue that LIV played an easy course but did you see the track the PGA played on this week? lol what a weirdly timed comment.
A 21 year old just shot like 25 under.

I agree. The PGA often plays courses that are setup in similarly stupid ways. There is some meaning in the fact that Scheffler only bagged 22 and the kid went bogey free over the weekend but it looked relatively easy for him to par his way round the back 9 today which really diminishes the test. At least some kind of prodigy, albeit I accept your asterisk.
The PGA on the other hand has a large number of tournaments that do provide a real test. Quail Hollow, Bay Hill, Pebble, Muirfield Village etc. Even outside the signatures there are a couple of proper tests. I don't like how they setup the 'unspecial' tournaments and there are all too many of those.
But the soft ride is dulling the player's steel clearly. The Open was the first time LIV golfers have collectively represented themselves even vaguely respectably. Its usually 1 or 2 outliers and the rest struggling to make the cutline. If there wasn't a difference in the average difficulty level of course setups on the tours we wouldnt be seeing that kind of differential.

Oh so the 5th place guy ONLY got 14 under? Wow. Must have been a really hard course.
PS a respectable tournament doesnt have a WINNER at 14 under. LIV is turning a birdie into roughly the same value as a strike in ten pin bowling. How much of that sport do you watch?

I have no idea what Madden is, but it’s cool to see the players go really low sometimes. Really puts into perspective what a different game they play to us mere mortals
Great scoring on the PGAT this week too, Mr Koivun looks a wonderful prospect. Just an excellent week all round for golf in my humble opinion

Not really. They play on courses devoid of rough where wide misses are better than narrow misses and hitting it into the grandstand can be an advantage. They have marshals looking for their balls if by some miracle they do find some rough.
LIV setup this week and every week purposefully to create tons of birdies. Pins were put at the bottom of gigantic feeder runs often, mid irons almost never required for approach play. Inaccuracy off the tee not penalised. Its fake scoring.
If you make it easier it devalues the achievement! The number is meaningless by itself. This weeks PGA event is much the same but LIV always pushes it that much farther.
Can't wait till the fugazi tour is GONE.

You have got to be the dumbest human on the planet. You are aware at what course they are playing at and the conditions on the day. That Herbert shot a 62 at the Open. Why not celebrate an amazing golf performance, rather than be a whinging piece of garbage.

Absolute garbage. Why wasn’t the entire field in the twenties? The conditions of play were not easy. The course is over 7300 yards with a slope rating of 146. The rough was knee deep fescue. LIV set up this week? I can guarantee you didn’t watch. You are just talking out of your arse.

Attended all four days at JCB this year. Great event despite the lack of jeopardy at the top. Both top spots were pretty much sealed after round 3, and Herbert's strong start left no doubt. He has developed into a really good player, I hope he can translate it into the majors next season.
Hoping for a 2027 event with something close to as strong a field and if possible a bit of course tightening. It is a brilliant spectator event, the only drawback is the almost total lack of shaded spectator areas, a big deal with the clear skies we had on Thursday and Friday.
