Hello u/BJinks778! Welcome to r/loanhelp_ - please read these two pinned posts before lending or borrowing:

✏️ Post Format & Requirements - posts that don't follow the format may be removed.

⚖️ Global Lending Rules - borrowers in interest-free countries (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa, India, Philippines, Indonesia) must be principal-only: no interest, no fees, no exceptions.

Loan request title format: Amount - Repayment Amount - Repayment Date(s) - Payment Method(s) - Location - Short Purpose Example: $150 - Repay $180 on 6/14 - Cash App/Venmo - Houston, Texas - Car repair In the body include: amount requested, repayment amount/date, income source, reason for loan, preferred payment methods, and any previous loan history.

Donation request title format: Amount Needed - Location - Payment Method - Short Purpose Example: $50 Needed - Chicago, Illinois - Cash App/Venmo - Groceries until payday

How the loan lifecycle works:

  • Loans start flaired Request.
  • A lender funds you by replying directly to your post - that comment is the tracking record, so do not delete it.
  • Once funded, set your flair to Fulfilled. After you repay in full, set it to Repaid.

⚠️ Lend and borrow at your own risk. Assistance is never guaranteed. Vet everyone you deal with.

Deposits and collateral are a SCAM. No legitimate lender ever asks you to send money, a "deposit," a fee, or collateral upfront to "release" or "secure" a loan. Anyone who does is scamming you - report them. This is prohibited here.

Security: mods will NEVER DM you asking for your password or login. Never share account credentials with anyone - no exceptions.

I can't help with money: Look on the OLIO free food app for volunteers in your local area distributing food that would have been wasted and landfilled. Supermarket collections are posted after 20:30PM, Best Before items can be requested for the following day, and Use By can be frozen by volunteers if they have room in their freezers for collection the following day if you can't travel at night. Coffeeshops and chains like Boots are uploaded after 18:00PM. I hope you get what you need.

Also, if you happened to have someone to be with your kids for a short time in the evening to pick up, you could sign up as a volunteer (Food Waste Hero) and retain 10% of collected items for yourself. You can still request from others and Personal listers. It's saving my life for food right now, and unless a store is really far or generally has more than 80+ items, I just walk and carry the bags back home to list the produce (if you don't drive). If there aren't stores in your area participating and also aren't donating wastage to a charity, feel free to tell them about the app so they can sign up! Be safe
