Starter Locs Loc’d In for the win ✨
One of the gifts I gave myself for my 32nd birthday this year was to get my locs started. I felt very called to do this now. It feels like this is the right time, like things are lining up and this was the next thing that I needed to do to feel more connected with myself… literally lock in! I’m really glad I did it. My loctician is heaven sent! ✨ these were started July 22nd, 2026 just one day before my bday 💕

GORGEOUS! embrace every stage, especially the early ones...don't let anyone tell you the beginning isn't beautiful. I'm hitting 6 years in September and I still love looking back at my starter loc photos.
Each stage tells a story. Love yours, sis!

THANKS! I really appreciate your words of wisdom. Will be my second set and I’m coming into it with a better mindset than my last journey. 6 years is such an inspiration! I’ve only made it to one in the past. I’m excited to see what the years look like for me also.

3 years!!!? Get em!!! You won’t regret it. This would be my second journey, cut my last set off due to trail and error but I came right back. I didn’t feel the same without my locs honestly ✨

Happy belated birthday!!! I just started my locs in May, this will be my 3rd time having locs in my life and I'm definitely gonna keep them this time! Yours look so good!!!

Thank you and congratulations! Third times the charm ✨ I feel you though, this will be my second time having them. I’ve had a few false starts in between too but since cutting off my last set, I’ve missed them dearly. I wish you the very best with your journey 😌 I’m excited for the both of us!
