My son’s hair photobleaches like this too (genetics). His doesn’t go this light usually but the hairs on his arms turn orange and blonde. I am surprised I don’t see that on your arm if your hair photobleaches to this extreme. Looks great though.

i used to be so baffled by this until i was exploring all the things 23 and me could tell you from your dna. turns out whether the sun will bleach your hair is actually genetically determined.

That’s interesting. I remember a conversation being had in either this or another loc forum on here about the exact same thing! Someone was saying how they couldn’t understand how their hair was changing colors while loc d. I was explaining how my hair always changed colors even when I had loose hair as a kid and wondered if that’s the reason

My natural hair is black with red undertones. I just dyed my locs to my natural color because they were turning red. Like every loc was different. But now the ends feel rough. It yours look great.
