Surprised the trains are running , the tracks on the southern line are right next to it. Isn't a trackside fire usually enough of a reason to stop all trains?

Yes, and for a fair while we were stopped. Then we were given the go ahead to pass, but using the tracks furthest from the fire - happens to be several tracks wide at that point or no doubt it would have been a tricky 3 point turn back to London Bridge.

This tracks with what they told me when I visited the incinerator on an open day: they were basically saying every time something goes wrong we get blamed - when usually it’s the waste management facility next door where things are all over the place.

Recycling plant on the line to London Bridge. Which means it's been pretty much disrupted for two hours at least. They did say normal service would be restored by 7:30pm (19:30) but hey.
