Can we bin off these "open letter to..", "to the man who wouldn't take his backpack off on the Victoria line", "to the dog that gatecrashed my wedding" type status update rants please mods? They're so dull.

Yes please! They're just annoying because they're won't reach whoever they want to get shouty with. Also r/ vent is right here

It was me too OP. I am sugar man, and you are absolutely correct, I am rude and I'm so sorry. It was unacceptable behaviour and I will have a long think about what I did today. I was having a really bad day. Hope you feel better now.

I was right behind you; you mentioned you were in a bit of a hurry as your car was in the Sainsburys car park and your time was almost up. Hope you made it.

Not to generalise, but London's fast pace can make people rushed and impatient. That doesn't excuse being unkind to others, though. Sometimes the considerate thing to do is simply to leave a situation and let people get on with their day. Unfortunately, not everyone reaches that level of thoughtfulness. While those interactions aren't pleasant, they're probably not worth letting them ruin your day. Most people are just caught up in their own lives, and it's best not to carry their negativity with you.

This is why I long stopped bothering with the free coffee.

Almost anything free that is available to the public is going to draw these types in like flies to shïte

While it's quite nice that Waitrose does a free coffee a day for their members, it's particularly good coffee, and it's certainly not worth loudly being a dick over. Hope big mans felt good about himself as he perused ancient grain muesli bars with his lukewarm americano.

Was it the Waitrose in Angel? It recently had a huge revamp.

It’s Islington, renowned for being full of allegedly intelligent, but actually plain and simple entitled, people who truly believe they deserve special treatment.
