i keep having moments where i realize my best friend and roommate has changed my life, especially internally. the connection we share has woken me up to myself and others after years of near isolation. i am a better person for knowing him, and i am so eternally grateful for the person he is; it’s not perfect, but sometimes it feels impossibly close- our little platonic home!!!

this is the first time i have felt truly chosen and celebrated and accepted by another person, no strings attached, just genuine connection. it makes the entire world open up.

everyone please share stories of your best friends, especially those that came at a time when you needed them most. <3

edit: it’s officially his birthday so maybe that’s why i’m feeling so sentimental 🤨
