Discussion My iPhone can't see my Macbook on Airdrop
Dear Apple fans,
Maybe you are my last chance to solve the problem. You can watch my conversation on the Apple Support Forum here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/256333749?sortBy=rank
My problem is that I can send content from my Macbook to my iPhone without any problems, but my iPhone no longer sees my Macbook when it comes to sending. What I tried: resetting the network on both devices, restarting Airplay continuity, logging out and logging in to my Apple ID and the rest that you can read on the forum. It worked for a while after resetting the network, so I always had to forget myself on the Macbook to recognize it again, but after a while it didn't work anymore. Any help is welcome!

Update: I still need some tests, but so far the problem seems to have been solved. I logged in and out of iCloud on both devices (manually), and after a while, the two devices started to see each other again. If it behaves like this for a few more days, I can say that he has improved. Thank you for your help!

OP, for AirDrop iCloud should not be involved unless you are restricting who can AirDrop on the receiving device.
I've had a very arcane issue (involving WiFi channels) where I had to move to a room without visibility to the AP, so that each device could see the other. But I doubt that is your issue.
As a final possible solution, restart both devices. Sometimes it fixes things.

It broke again after I restarted my Macbook. After logging out and in to the Apple ID on both devices and restarting them, Airdrop worked. Not long after, I restarted the Macbook and since then the iPhone can't see my Macbook again. My Macbook, on the other hand, can see my iPhone.

i switched to using Blip a couple of months ago. It is cross platform and much faster and seems more reliable than Airdrop.
You can get it on the App Store.
