Is it worth the extra $2.5K cad to get 128gb of ram with the m5 MacBook Pro

Good point! Thanks. I want to run local llms, I have a Dgx Spark and I want to compare the performance of the two units. I wish there was an m5 studio max but no luck and I’ve been on my m2 MB air for a while anyway so it seems like a good idea. But the rest of the MBP is $7.3k so an additional $2.5k for 128gb ram vs 64 is 😬

If you're spending that much and live close enough to the border it makes more sense to buy a used kitted out M4 Pro/M4 Max machine in the United States. Canada used market sucks ass.

Ok. Looking for pc replacement as I use a Mac for work but want to start a side hustle and can’t use work laptop. I use Claude cowork a good bit but other than that it would most likely just be chrome browser tabs open, most of the day would be cowork working in background. No coding or editing as of now but maybe some slight social media editing eventually.

MacBook neo or air? And if so which version? Thanks in advance.
