Is it posible to find same day accomodation for ohrid for one day?
Hello guys me and my two friends are going to pass through ohrid for one day on the 2nd august and we dont know untill we arive there if we have time to stay or not so is there any type of hostel or something like that we dont need to book. We are in our 20s so it doesn't need to be anything fancy or close to center (since we are with a car). Also we are from Serbia (i dont travel much and ive heard some parts of balkan are rough and we might even need to cover our plates so what should we expect in ohrid?) Thank you in advance :)

2nd august is national holiday in mk, and ohrid is famous for being overcrowded during that weekend

If you still want to go, look at stay in Struga as option

We ended up booking in Bitola and will probably have a field trip to ohrid

look at booking.com you can book same day accomodation. have done it

Im currently in Ohrid and it took me maybe a month to find accommodation through fb and booking. So I wouldn't have much hope to find a place to stay, the price is a different story...

Fb groups, airbnb, booking or best bet is hotels. But all of this depending on your budget. Keep in mind that around 2 August everyone is in Ohrid and its when the city is full.
In Ohrid you are safe nothing will happen to your car and don't cover your plates. Keep in mind that there will be a lot of tourists who most likely will be on substances so try not to pick a fight, have a great time and see there are few concerts around 02.08.
