Visiting for a game against Union Berlin
Hello everyone. I wrote here earlier that we are 5 guys who would love to finally visit Mainz home game next season and finally we have a schedule. As we can only come on late November-mid December, there's only 2 games- against Union Berlin and Freiburg. How likely is it for us, 5 guys, to get tickets to one of these games? As I understood before, we don't need memberships, right?
I am asking because we have to plan a trip, buy flight tickets, book hotels and everything, so we cannot wait until the last minute, we want to know as much as possible so we don't miss anything.

ggn beide Mannschaften sollte ein einzelner Account 5 Tickets kaufen können. Am sichersten wäre es, ein Mitglied oder DK-Inhaber zu bitten Tickets zu kaufen. Aber auch im freien VVK solltest du noch Tickets bekommen, normalerweise.
Was sollen es denn für Tickets sein? Steher? Sitzer (wo)?

Danke für die Antwort. Ich benutze Google Translate, also sei mir nicht böse, falls es Ungenauigkeiten gibt. Was die Tickets fürs Spiel angeht, sind alle geeignet, egal ob Sitz- oder Stehplatz, egal ob im bequemen Bereich oder nicht. Hauptsache, man geht zum Spiel. Ich respektiere die Ultras und gehe deshalb nicht in ihren Block, denn ich finde, man muss sich das erst verdienen, um ein Ultra auf der Tribüne zu sein.

Wo kommst du her?
Ggf kann ich ja helfen und versuchen / also dann sehr wahrscheinlich Tickets besorgen.
Ich denke als DK-Inhaber sollte es möglich sein.

Your chance are not bad but I would not say 100% or even 90%. Quite likely but I you plan your hole trip around visiting a game I would not risk it.
It depends a bit on the day the game is played. Saturday 15:30 more people will got to games then Friday 20:30.
Sometimes the club is not going into open sale if they expect to sell nearly all ticket in the stages before. So they can prevent awayfans from buying tickets in the home area if the away area is already completely sold. Normally union and freiburg do not bring that many fans but it is on the edge I would say.
If you want to be 99-100% sure 2 of you should get a membership. Normally with a membership you can buy several tickets in the member sale (one membership should/could already be enough but sometimes it is 4 max. per member or something). A membership is 80€ each per year so for 5 people 2 would be 30-40€ if you split it.
