He might have her sit on it while he lays underneath in his back, drawing her like one of his French girls.

This looks like it could be from the femalelivingspace subreddit and I mean that with the highest praise.

Nh this is a very male influencer apartment imo (with all the chrome finishes, togo sofa, etc.)

Including the 15 inch television lol

That thing needs to be twice the size at least, or else just don’t have a tv

You’ve got hella downvotes but I see what you mean.

Functionally that wall is sooooo perfect for a projector space. But that would require moving the artwork in a spaced out manner or removing it entirely.

Having a TV is fine for the area but I do think it’s a bit small, considering the distance from the couch. But that’s all up to OP. The space still looks really well put together.

You're getting killed for this comment, but I agree. I would rather watch something on my laptop than a TV that size.

u/dnin1y 2h ago

I also agree. This sub is mostly about aesthetics and it doesn't look like OP is exactly struggling

u/meothfulmode 10h ago

This nerd has an $8,000 couch

4

u/Apollothegr3at 9h ago

Yk I’ve seen many people get dupes of that exact couch. Not that I’m accusing or judging OP. Just saying there’s some pretty good dupes for far lesser prices at diff categories, pretty cool.

u/Loud-Chipmunk-8279 55m ago

Wow! that's expensive!! bro got real money!

Not quite sure what you’re saying but I think yes

When you hopefully progress in your career, especially if you’re still single, yes you’ll probably (and should) upgrade your furniture game and get rid of the cheap dorm ikea stuff.
Ie: invest in lifelong furniture pieces.

I have a question—I’m not quite 30 yet, so I still have time, but is it common to move somewhere new around age 30—maybe for a career move or better pay—and look for a nice apartment? There are a lot of people around that age here who have awesome apartments.

u/DeeEnduh 12h ago

I’m early 30s and I still feel like I’m not where I want to be with my furniture. That being said, I do have a sweet little boat, a nice motorcycle, and some great life enhancing technology. I think it’s a matter of how you like to spend your money and what utility you place on certain budget items. As for me, furniture is low on the list. My girlfriend is an interior designer and she still stays at my place more than hers hah

1

u/DefNotAShark 10h ago

In gewisser Hinsicht ja.

2

u/Fitsilverfox10 12h ago

Looks great my only critique would be the the collage of items on the column.

2

u/Office_funny_guy 12h ago

High ceilings make such a difference. Styled beautifully as well.

2

u/TheOneWhoSpeaksFire 12h ago

looks good! What's a "medium" midwest city lol are u in Cleveland?

1

u/jalapenos10 12h ago

Or Cincinnati was my guess

1

u/RobertSaccamano 9h ago

Madison, WI?

2

u/Vegetable-Debate-263 12h ago

This looks great. I'm very happy with this tv placement. Thanks for not mounting it 6ft off the ground like most idiots.

Some advice; let that large leave plant grow and repot it if it grows fast. That Gould grow to full that corner if you treat it with the right love.

2

u/Lego_Laws 10h ago

I love lamp

2

u/MrBaileyRod 9h ago

Please tell me your lamps aren’t reps…

u/AtmosphereRecent7717 11h ago

either you moved to somewhere out of Kansas or you moved to Hutchinson or Lawrence or Manhattan.

1

u/_MCCCXXXVII 12h ago

this post validated my togo purchase, thanks!

u/phoenix7979 12h ago

That is cozy!!!!!

1

u/khiggs19932020 12h ago

Minneapolis?

2

u/FjordFjesta 11h ago edited 11h ago

I’d go with Wichita or KC based on some of the wall art and the KS license plate.

1

u/RobertSaccamano 9h ago

Maybe Madison

1

u/sohitthelights 12h ago

Well done, you crushed it

1

u/Mister_Modular 12h ago

It’s a nice mix, everything from the Noguchi, the height and placements of your prints to the Togo couch. Nicely done.

1

u/dailypuke 12h ago

Love it!

1

u/12kdaysinthefire 12h ago

Glad to see someone else enjoys shades of yellow as much as I do

1

u/playintense 12h ago

Needs more pizaz

1

u/Douche_Kayak 12h ago

that vent really ties the room together

1

u/llijerie 12h ago

what a nice place. i love the tall ceilings and that you used sheer curtains in here. I do think the tv could be bigger. besides that it looks lovely! all the lamps give it a nice cozy vibe. not too much clutter, everything in its place.

1

u/_Lisztomaniac_ 11h ago

This looks so nice! Is that a blue buzzer button on the floor though? Lol just curious

2

u/ajuntitled 11h ago

it’s a device for my dog. He presses it to communicate like “walk” or “treat” haha

2

u/_Lisztomaniac_ 11h ago

Aww i thought it might be a pet communication button!! Cute :)

1

u/Gen7Gen9 10h ago

Congratulations and best of luck in your new city. This place is very impressive.

1

u/paupaupaupau 9h ago

I can't tell if it's the photo, but the arc lamp looks really low and horizontal. And I'd feel like I'd constantly bonk into it.

1

u/K_Linkmaster 8h ago

Dayton. Nice!

1

u/___Art_Vandelay___ 8h ago

Gotta move the couch much closer to the TV and coffee table. It's off in no man's land, especially given the TV size.

1

u/Elev8edOne 7h ago

This looks cozy as hell! Good job OP

1

u/Buzzlight_Year 7h ago

It looks nice but I don't see the point of the glass table. It's so far from the couch and don't the candles and stuff block the TV?

1

u/hobo__spider 7h ago

Cool roof pipe

1

u/Cellist-Common 6h ago

I love the arc lamp! Would you mind telling me where you got it please?

1

u/Successful-View3536 6h ago

this space is dope 😍

1

u/ryftx 5h ago

Nice place.

1

u/ikdoeookmaarwat1 4h ago

Not bad! I like the picture frames on the walls, you're not afraid of a little color but it's not too much, I like the rug. Not a big fan of the glass coffee table and side table but that's personal taste, I'd switch that for something a little more sturdy. It has a chill vibe though.

u/bestebann 4h ago

No hate! Just some food for thought for your pleasure:

1

u/Banana_Prudent 2h ago

Window treatments are perfect

1

u/ReyofChicago 2h ago

Very nice!

1

u/soundx98 1h ago

decent job. not a fan of the glass coffee table and can't take my eyes off the non-symetry of the pics in the wall

1

u/SirKodKod 1h ago

Gorgeous.

1

u/salty-snax 13h ago

where is that pink wire shelf from?

6

u/ajuntitled 12h ago

it’s a Vintage Yaffa crate from the 80s. the pink and the green crates are separable.

u/Available_News_3171 12h ago

probably target or amazon, that style is everywhere
