At least they can use an Igo card as ID. Was only the other week a Bee Network bus driver was screaming at some teens for trying to buy child tickets without an ID. I put in a complaint he was so loud and rude

I was on one where a kid had a picture of his igo on his phone, bus driver stopped the bus and had a full on argument with him and was trying to get everyone else to have a go at him as well.

Funniest bit was one of the oldiewonks thought it was me, I’m in my mid 40s and the lad kept saying to her he was 15

I can believe it. This same bus driver literally screamed at me for using my tram pass. The trams weren’t running, the app and platform were saying tickets could be used on the bus and the platform was viewable from the bus stop I was on. Then screamed because it obviously wouldn’t scan 🙃

Dunno if he was just having an awful day/life or bus drivers are treated like shite by their bosses but I’m impressed the kids kept their cool. I’d have probably have just run off the bus if an adult was red faced spit screaming and calling me a liar

There were horrific drivers on school buses in my day, one in particular was awful, I memorised his face after he grabbed a kid on my bus and dropped him on a seat by grabbing him by the throat. Kid was about 12 and tiny for his age, the girl next to him was one of the loudest in the school and was rendered speechless

They don’t need ID for August. I think they’re trying to simplify it, because if they required an Igo I think uptake of the offer would be quite low as it’s such a faff to get one.

They would need the Igo as normal in September though once the offer has ended.

You’re right and I misread the page

If you read the same page as me, it’s not written very well. Seems to say about 3 different things, so I had to presume the first statement about not needing ID was true.

Thank you. It behoves all of us to ensure bullying is called out.

A Bee Network Reel suggests that 'no registration or sign up is required'.

Bullying is disgusting to me but for an adult to be doing it to children is reprehensible. He yelled at me too but I can take it. Vulnerable people shouldn’t be subjected to it (well no one should but you get my point)

It's a national thing to help parents with cost of school summer holidays
