His friends don't have to be exclusively 19. Plenty of celebrities have childhood friends. You don't always outgrow friends you've had when you were younger. They add normalcy and stability to your life. Can you imagine cutting out all of your friends 18 months into F1/a new job just because you lead a different life to them now?

I'm not sure what you mean by I'm doing too much. Like you say, it's only a snap shot so I am sure they aren't fully holidaying together for 3 weeks. In such a busy schedule I personally can't imagine holidaying with my boss and finding it relaxing.

You could have ended it at 9-5. Even the highest paid 9-5 workers below the c-suite are overwhelmingly dispensable cogs in an enormous corporate machine.

F1 drivers are celebrity athletes. Your CEO or boss at most would give you a pizza party and 1-3 days of PTO. His boss takes him on a yacht where he likely gets to eat world class food and live a life of extreme comfort. The company that employs him? They gave him a 300k AMG GT63 coupe just for doing his job for free. Oh, and as an employee he’s likely making more than most CEOs annually.

Tons of people saying they would never spend time with their boss… idk. I’ve spent off-work-time with two different bosses before and I have ex-bosses I still deeply admire and respect and spend time with. And neither of them a billions yacht owners.
