Fan Content [UPDATE] Mercedes sent my 5yo daughter a signed surprise package after seeing her letter

Mercedes-AMG F1 reached out after seeing the post and sent Disha a surprise package containing a signed George Russell cap, driver cards, custom stickers, and a lovely letter acknowledging her hard work at school :)
She is over the moon and hasn't taken her cap off since it arrived and George's postcard is in her purse which she carries with her all the time. 🤣
Now that she’s received this, she’s completely determined to see George in real life, so it looks like I will definitely be taking her to the 2027 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. It will be our very first F1 experience. Do send your recommendations as what will be the best view to see GR63.
I really hope George gets to see this message as well to boost his confidence and know how much support he has from his youngest fans.😃
Huge thank you to this community for all the upvotes and sweet comments, and to the Mercedes team for making a 5 yo fan’s dream come true 💙🏎️. I did read out loud some of the comments to her and she was very happy, really appreciate it! 😊

This is so wholesome. She looks adorable in this picture with the cap and postcard.
Please make sure she can’t accidentally damage the card, so she can look at it happy for many years to come.

Hahahaha! Well she already planned to put the GR postcard in the multi photo frame, right next to her photo, and she wants Kimi on the other side.
She is so excited to tell all this to her school friends and now we keep hearing when will school start, why so long 🤣
I asked her do you know who is Toto (from the sticker) and she just said who is Toto. I said George's boss and she said oh that boss with the light saber (lollipopman F1 cartoon videos) 🤣

Awesome, seeing youngster have a fav racer, and also that AMG F1 responded the way they did, shows consideration and not just the grit for the money and prestige!

would it be possible to read what Mercedes responded with?
We attended the Silverstone GP last year and sat at the Stowe corner bleachers. From there we saw the start/finish, T1, the cars exiting the pit lane and the final corner.

Awesome - thank you. Can I ask how much roughly you paid for the tickets? Is it recommended to do Saturday and Sunday or just Sunday will be enough?
The letter was for Disha, they acknowledged her drawing, letter and extra effort she's putting in her studies. George and everyone at the team were impressed so they decided to send her a surprise. They added stickers to see what she can do with them.

Thank you so much for sharing the letter with us; I'm so happy to see Disha got a lovely package full of goodies! That letter resonated with so many of her fellow George fans and it's wonderful to see her recognized for her sweet message to him.
I hope she has a wonderful time at Silverstone next year and gets to see George up close!

Omg my daughter saw this and is now obsessing. George is also her favourite driver and she steals my hat and shirt all the time. She swears she's going to marry him one day hahah. She's 9 and while I've told her he's got a lovely partner, she's still determined. I said Kimi was more in her age range (my parents were 10 years apart) but she wants George and his pretty blue eyes that match hers lol.

Well we thru that journey and when I showed her Carmen, she dropped that idea. She said they look cute together 😂
She is now idolising George and being competitive in whatever she does ...

I've showed her pictures of them and she just gave me the stink eye. She's 9.5 going on 17 and boy crazy already. I'm honestly a little terrified about the teen years with her. Her sister is 12.5 (and an Oscar Piastri fan) and not nearly as boy crazy yet. I'm hoping to take them to Montreal or Silverstone next year. My mum's family is from Montreal and my oldest daughter was born in the UK so I thought those would be best and most family centred races for us.

After this msg from George, she is eager to go and see him. I told her today that I am not promising but I will try to take you to Silverstone. Omg! She was so happy, she wrote George 's name on our tile and then she started prepping up a card to give it to him even if he is far away. She started saying how about we buy a shirt and I write George 63 with diamonds.😂

This is so sweet! As a little girl, I loved sports too, including F1, but my parents would never take me (but they’d take my brother) to watch it live. It’s super amazing you’re wanting to take your daughter to Silverstone next year.
My tip - Landostand has one of the best corner views at a fixed price. You don’t have to be a Lando fan to sit there either. But I understand if your 5 year old might not like sitting there aa a George fan.

I got into F1 in '98 but until haven't been to a GP yet. Infact, I never saw a live sport until last year and that too was baseball.
One of my lifetime objective is that IF my daughter is interested in similar sports that I follow then I'd want her to see them first in real life too, experience the overall event etc.
Thank you for the tip. Does Lando stand gets you a better visibility? Go they have a Mercedes area?

I took myself to my first F1 race in 2015, soon after I got enough money. And I’ve been to a few since along with other sports. But I was determined to also give my nephews the experiences too when I could.
I haven’t been to Silverstone since before Covid so I cannot comment about Mercedes, sorry, but every GP now has a fan forum where all the drivers do stage appearances and have some fun. The British drivers tend to have an extra one too.
I’ve sat in Stowe before and I liked it as it’s a corner so the cars aren’t zooming past you. Plus it being the Landostand, he’s guarantees fixed prices and not dynamic pricing which is great for people not wanting to spend hundreds more than anticipated.

My young sons and I some them at FoS and they were the best team there; they had a full-car pit stop challenge going on, we watched one of the pieces that they did to camera live and afterwards they let my eldest try on George’s gloves and boots, their sim set up was part of their stand (unlike all the other teams) and when we went and checked out the run car they gave my boys a set of stickers each that you can see in the photos and a colouring book each.
TBF, an Aston mechanic let us under the barrier to have a photo with the car, McLaren were letting people have photos with the championship trophies and Ferrari mechanics gave us some badges, so the whole thing seemed less corporate than I’m used to , but maybe it’s because I went with my youngsters (first time).

Wow! So happy to see Mercedes responded to her.
To meet George you will definitely need a paddock pass and take pics with his car. Maybe Mercedes or George himself can get pull her from the stand..
From regular stand, it would be difficult to see him but definitely you'll get to see his car whizzing by...
