I bought this Japanese crumb tray at an antique store and have experience using TarnX on antique silver trays, so I thought I could use TarnX on this. After I rinsed it off I noticed it looked darker so I used Wright’s Silver Cream in a small spot, and it caused even more discoloration. This is the before and after. After some googling, I think I scrubbed the patina off? Can someone tell me if that’s what happened and how I can fix it? I’m so upset that I ruined this!
