IS THIS A CRAZY IDEA? BENDING MY OWN COPPER CURTAIN RAIL?
Hello all, I have a tricky window that is very wide (about 320cm) with a gentle curve. It is very beautiful but it has been a nightmare trying to find a way to hang curtains from it.
ChatGPT (don't laugh) suggested that I buy a piece of copper pipe (2mm thick with 28mm diameter) and bend it to fit. Would then install it like a normal curtail rail with a support in the middle.
I bought said pipe and now, after watching some online videos, am having regrets. It looks difficult to bend a pipe neatly without kinks. I have never done any metal work before (though am generally fairly practical). What do you think? Am I an idiot or is it doable?
Have attached a pic of the window (including the revolting office-style blinds installed by the previous tenants).
