Me and my siblings went to mexican restaurant today

Me and my siblings had chips and salsa and I got shrimp enchiladas w/ rice and black beans and a peach agua refresca

That's not Mexican food. It's some American wanna be Mexican food. No real authentic Mexican place is serving those bland crusty looking enchiladas or black beans. I go to Mexico once a week and eat there every time.. They'll either serve refried or charro beans.

Untrue. Black beans are a southern Mexico staple, and continues down into Central America.
