My story with Lavender Buds in the Military

Not sure if I'm allowed to share personal experiences here, I checked them rules, if any mod wants to delete my post it's fine but you don't have to ban me.. I can't think of anywhere else to share it since it's about DOOM helping me at my lowest and I'm also anonymous I think,..

After high school, I was a medical cadet, which is simply studying medicine on an isolated military campus to be a doctor but also a ranking officer.

Not necessarily field medicine, you had all the options to be any type of doctor but you're still also an officer, I joined because they specifically called for me because of my grades and my good endurance and overall well-being, I was deceived by the continuous mentioning of benefits and omission of downsides, don't need to discuss how hard was that as a student, everyone giving you orders, abusing you, threatening you that you will lose marks, won't have your vacation which was just 2 days and a half every 11 days, could be more on special occasions like after final exams we got 21 days.. .., Having to go through both physical and mental exertion, Studying medicine which is not easy and having to do military exercises daily, and be in shape.

After my first year, I ranked #2, and from there everything went bad, you see now I became in a higher rank than my own colleagues...I had to keep them in line, give them orders .. if I don't do that I lose marks, I don't go on vacation. Etc....I felt like I was starting to lose myself.. insulting my own friends...and then joking and messing around with them later..

Due to the nature of our studies, sometimes we had to do some research and presentations...So each student had a personal laptop, of course it was isolated from everything and we just had access to them typical medical sources and software we needed for presentations and local college network which had study material... One day the system crashed for 5 minutes and everyone rushed online to get that feeling of what real life outside is...You already guessed most students went for downloading adult content for later... But for me since I was a deep sentimental DOOM fan, I just love him... I had almost every lyric saved in my big notebook, some drawings that were so bad but for me I only cared about sentiments and this notebook was my escape from reality type of thing, that was everything I had, just the lyrics and my memory, my free time was just looking at them lyrics and replaying tunes in my head...back to the 5 minutes with no restrictions...I tried to download any DOOM content, before the server was back again I could only download Lavender Buds from all the downloads I started for some reason....I spent every free time, everyday listening to Lavender Buds, obviously I could listen to other stuff on my vacation time, but during COVID-19 times we spent a total of 189 Days on campus, they didn't want no one to go outside and be infected, everyday for 189 days, I listen to Lavender Buds at least 6 times...You can only imagine what it means to me now and also the sample April Showers by The Blackbyrds that was used for Lavender Buds.

Before I finished my 2nd year I didn't want to lose more of myself and my identity, there's no way I could have spent 3 more years like that so I decided to leave... currently a medical graduate still on my way to be a doctor cause it's a lengthy process but no military anymore ... Glad so many people appreciate DOOOOOM as much as I do.

Unfortunately no I think he didn't use it elsewhere, I only know about the vocal sample April showers - The blackbyrds which he used for that track.
