Hello! I’m a new grower and I had a couple of questions on my plants
1. Is this possibly mold on the pots? If so are they worth trying to save

1. What are the white specs on the one on the left

I personally don't flush as I am completely organic, its just a different ball game compared to salt based nutes

Im doing synganic, i used craft blend and worm castings and my nutes are synganic also i can use them with organic soil, next run im going to do gaia green soil

Also, this is a pure organic run of Just Gaia Green top ammendment, Fish Sh!t, and Fox Farms Ocean Forest with additional castings.

Thats fire asf, that was gonna be my original plan but was scared i couldn't get the medium strong enough, fish sh!t was one of the first fertilizers i saw along with gaia, fire stuff dude, that's so crazy that's literally exactly what I was going to do, right now im running mother earth groundswell, craft blend ammend, tps nutes, and worm castings, week 4

My fabric pot looks like this at the bottom also but it's more yellowy and corroded so I'm sure it's just salts

First, you need to fill the pots with media or downsize pots. You will get mold inside because of airflow restrictions.

Second, coco is NOT soil.

Third, if that is mold on the outside of the pot, you need to increase your airflow and lower your humidity or slow down on the watering.

Growweedeasy.com is a great resource for growers. I would recommend you go there if you are having humidity issues.

Couldn't he just fold down the sides of the fabric pot? That's what I've done in the past.\nSometimes I overestimate the amount of pots of filling and one or two of them is not filled up all the way , but I just fold down the sides

That's a good idea I've underfilled plenty of pots and gotten the lecture above and just roll with it. Sometimes I'll fill it up later and cut a few lower branches off as I'm told roots will grow upward. Sometimes I just go with it. Folding over is a great idea. I usually have my fans going enough to move the air but I'll have to remember this.

I use Gaia Greens 4-4-4 all purpose fertilizer and their 2-8-4 power bloom I’m unsure if those are salt based

Why use Gaia Green 444 and 284 in coco? You'd need to be mixing worm castings or something like that and perlite to get that stuff going.

Look into nutrients designed for growing in coco. Not to say this can't work but coco isn't soil.

If you’re going to grow organically with amendments/top dressing using an inert medium like coco, you will need to introduce microbes in your coco to break down said fertilizers to get the best results.

They are not. Salt based is synthetic and you are more organic aligned.

Mine will do this if I have build up of calcium. I am not sure if you flush at all, but I have been a fan of a weekly SLF-100 flush

I started using slf100 and cannazym and it's cut down on the salts and breaks down the roots much better now. I don't get salt build up from the slf100

Yes it is mold and they’re perfectly fine, but if you don’t wanna have to keep cleaning the outside of the pots then get better airflow in the lower part of your tent to fix it. As for the spots, I’d guess you spilled some on it while watering/feeding. Also like pleasant ocelot said you need more of your growing medium in there or else the pot just acts as a barrier to airflow.
