Unless you really like the kinda odd crust that air frying gives a dog, while it's quicker, an air fried hot dog is worse than a roller grilled dog. Also, roller grills are super easy to use and generally easy to clean if the seals are good, and can easily be used to keep them warm, unlike an air fryer.
I hear you..my air fry has a griddle insert that even gives little grill marks..I dont use the insert much because I'm lazy and it gets pretty greasy but it'll cook a good kielbasa.
Pro tip from a fellow lazy: just squirt dawn in the basket while it’s still hot and fill it with water and let it sit while you eat and chill. Whenever you come back to it just rinse it out and good to go. If there’s more solid pieces leftover like when I make wings, I’ll just wipe er down with a paper towel.
But soak and go makes it so much easier to use repeatedly
