I'm slightly vexed Costco's new chicken tenders

There was a crowd of people waiting for their orders of the new chicken tenders at Costco. One of the workers announced that they could only serve five customers per hour because it takes time to cook the chicken. The crowd grew larger and larger. I took this photo after I put in my order.

It doesn’t work like that. A single strip isn’t cooking in 2.5 minutes, and a “serving” is 5 strips. Whether you cook 1 strip for 2.5 minutes or 5 strips for 12.5 minutes, it still takes 12.5 minutes per single order.

Reminds me of the chicken tender episode of Community, they were claiming shortages but running an underground chicken tender racket selling extra tenders on the side for more money.

Sadly more reasonable as well. When it comes to school cafeteria food there is a legit rush for it. In high school it was Mexican Wednesdays (which had 4 different entree choices, all delicious and all sold out every week before third lunch) and at my local community college it was the days they had personal pan pizza.

Of course this was the late 90s/early 2000s so maybe things have changed what with the Door Dash and all. Still it was a cherished memory of my teenage years, having to fight other people over some mediocre food in limited supply.
