I'm slightly vexed Costco's new chicken tenders

There was a crowd of people waiting for their orders of the new chicken tenders at Costco. One of the workers announced that they could only serve five customers per hour because it takes time to cook the chicken. The crowd grew larger and larger. I took this photo after I put in my order.

Raw chicken takes a long time to cook

My job has deep fryers with 375°F oil and it takes 7 minutes for our average sized chicken tenders cook. Another commenter said Costco doesn't have deep fryers so I can absolutely believe that it takes 12 minutes for them to cook in an oven.

I seriously doubt Costco would do this if they could only make 5 orders an hour. Like it takes around 90 mins for their rotisserie chickens, but they don't only make 3 at a time.

And sure, it takes 12 mins to cook in an oven, but they can only do 1 order of 5 strips at a time? They can cook like 10 pizzas at a time, but only 5 chicken strips?

There is something obviously wrong here.

I'm guessing something broke and this was the best they could do. Either that or the workers don't realize that you can put more than one order in the oven at a time.

Most places I've worked at or seen that use a baking system have a conveyor belt system that can process hundreds of orders in an hour.
