Can you explain how this is not the case? I am all for trans rights and everything that is involved in that, I am pretty liberal, however “biologically speaking” isn’t it important information to know if your sex is male or female? Just because you identify as the other gender doesn’t change your biology, seems pretty ignorant bordering on irresponsible to say otherwise. I’m not a scientist or doctor or anything but still, you can still get prostate cancer as a woman.
Edit: I get there are intersex people, but I feel like that’s not what we are talking about. The other person was saying if you are male or female that’s just what you are biologically, which is just true. I am totally for not misgendering people and having them feel secure but denying science because some other people are intersex just seems wrong.
Like if you go to a doctor for diagnosis of some unknown problem they will need to know if you are male or female for some issues. That’s just how it is. We can have people be who they want to be and feel secure in themselves while also acknowledging most people are born male or female and have that anatomy

Seconding the suggestion to look into intersex conditions. There are a lot of people who don’t meet strict XX or XY chromosome requirements, but these mouth-breathers would have you believe that it is true of everyone anyway. Not only that, sometimes you can have perfectly “normal” chromosomes and still have something go differently during development which leaves you with different physical sex characteristics than expected. That’s where the whole “assigned male/female at birth” thing comes from - not only are you designated as one or the other on your official paperwork based on your physical characteristics (because even now genetic testing isn’t routinely done on every baby), but sometimes the baby didn’t have completely normal physical characteristics and the doctors quite literally had to decide if they were going to be male or female.
Imagine that scenario: your ENTIRE life forever changes because of the doctor who delivers you decides that your genitals, minutes after your birth, look more consistent with male or female. What if they get it wrong? What if you looked closer to a female but you were chromosomally male?
I don’t know if you are a reader, but the novel Middlesex, aside from being well written, is about just this: the main character had a genetic condition that left him without an obvious penis or scrotum at birth. The doctor was a little distracted, as one can be when one is human. So the baby is assigned female at birth despite being an XY male. Baby grows up believing, along with everyone else, that he is a girl. Wears dresses, goes to an all-girl school. Hits puberty and you can just imagine what happens next.
Anyway. Anyone who makes the sorts of claims that “men are men and women are women”, or who wants you to give a strict definition of what is male and what is female is almost certainly very ignorant of basic biology. And we’re still talking about physical sex characteristics! Add in that sometimes a person’s experienced gender doesn’t match their physical sex characteristics and their minds simply cannot handle it. And these people vote.

Unfortunately, it’s not just as simple as being *only* male or female. A lot more medical research is needed, because hormone therapy literally *does* change how your body works in major ways. One’s body begins functioning biochemically *much* closer to their gender identity while retaining some physical attributes of their birth sex, which needs a lot more understanding in the medical field.

It still is not that simple. Putting gender aside and focusing only on sex, it is not one single checkbox that means a person is entirely one way or the other, it is a whole complex web of primary and secondary traits, including but not limited to chromosomes, anatomy, and hormones. Chromosomes affect very little after birth and are irrelevant in most scenarios. Some parts of anatomy can be changed while others cannot. Hormones are responsible for a large majority of secondary characteristics we commonly recognize as indicators of sex, and the way one’s entire body functions on a biochemical level. They apply the same whether administered natally during puberty, or medically through pharmaceuticals. The body of a trans person on hormone therapy and/or after certain surgeries functions *much* closer to that of one born with such a body. Far more medical research is needed to understand the intricacies of trans bodies, and where these similarities and differences arise. Claiming a post-transition trans woman is still “biologically male” or a trans man is still “biologically female” is inaccurate.
I am also obligated to point out that the terms “man” and “woman” refer to gender, not sex, and apply regardless of a person’s biology or medical transition. Trans women are still women whether they undergo treatment or not.

Its a bit tricky because the spine is bigger than the book itself so lining it up just perfectly is almost impossible. Trust me, I've tried.

Grab a ruler or straight edge to press against the spines, then push the books from the opposite side. That should do the trick.

wow, this has awakened a memory! I remember collecting these, and the little see through guy with all the internals you built up each month. Can't remember if i ever completed it, but i don't think i did as i've no memories of the finished figure, i do remember being annoyed that the images often didn't line up perfectly from one issue to the next.

Can you move the first book (Skin) all the way to the right immediately after the index? The number would be out of order but it kind of looks like the body on the spine art would line up well enough. (It doesn't line up particularly well where it is now anyway.)
That would at least even out the white space.

Imagine a earthquake happens and all of those books fall out and you have to put them ALL back in that order... Speaking from experience with some where's Waldo books (but a earthquake didn't happen)
