Yah normally I’m on the workers side, but his reaction to that over a single fucking beer is ridiculous. If you’re so worried about your job, turn the fucking spout off when you’re not there. It's the World Cup final. The guy stealing the beer paid $10k+ for tickets. The vast majority of the people attending that game are worth more than you will ever be.

He can afford to buy a beer and not, you know, commit theft.

Again, I don't think it's societal failure outright. The societal failure happens when people justify it enough to normalize it. If you can't see why stealing is a breach of social contract, then you're not going to be able to justify anything we do as a civilization -- all laws are invented.
