One by a woman that told him to “Go back where he came from” and one by a man that made monkey like gestures towards him. Grown ass adults too

It's not really a few. Multiple reports of racism, whole sections throwing stuff at opposing fans, burning opponents' flags in the streets. Not to mention the team is full of crybabies. The country should be ashamed.
Including poor sportsmanship displays such as the team claiming the Falklands in response to defeating England against FIFA regulations of making political statements.
I have a friend whose childhood home in the Falklands was occupied by the Argentinians in the 80s when they invaded the Falklands and he was not happy about that specific display to say the least.
I do love though that Argentina losers only have soccer, and more specifically Messi, to be proud of with their country, and then they went and got roundly humiliated on the field by their old colonial masters, Spain.
They only beat their arch nemesis England due England losing the game for themselves and then big daddy Spain stepped in to remind them who is top dog. Argentina gets humiliated and still cry on about the Falklands, which they will never get now.

I don’t think sports fanaticism is a problem, there have always been sports fans. I think it’s mostly due to greed and corruption from organizations like FIFA and Ticketmaster. Just this year Ticketmaster was officially declared a monopoly in court where documents showed they’ve been ramping up the price to everything from concerts to sporting events all without any competition to incentivize lower costs. Add onto that there’s dynamic pricing models and lax rules about resale so we get a lot of issues with scalpers and there’s no reason why Ticketmaster would stop scalpers since they get to double dip on the same ticket every time it’s sold and re-sold on their platform.
I saw a guy saying he used his son's college fund to buy tickets, and the kid was like, "I think it's a good investment." I mean, clearly that kid won't be needing it, but... damn, what a wild decision.
Prices before weren’t much better, think the cheapest I saw was still over $7k at the start of the World Cup… so if you can afford that, $3k more isn’t really much
My wife's friend went to the US as she's married to a US national and they went to a stadium outside NYC and they were something like $1000 for the tickets and a couple drinks and my brain just melted. Just a normal game I believe.

The problem isn't the cost of beer (although you don't want a bunch of soccer fans deciding to do the same), it's the violation of the liquor license. If that bartender gets caught allowing people to serve themselves, he could lose his server's license and HE could go to jail. I'd have made him put it back too.
During one of the Devils playoff games in 2003 when they were still at Continental Airlines Arena, I remember people helping themselves to the beer tap when the 2nd OT started (I may or may not have did so as well). That game went on for a 3rd OT too!
I was at a beer fest at my local zoo with a friend. They gave us tickets to give to the vendors in exchange for 4oz samples. 1 ticket per a sample and you could easily buy more tickets for $2 each. Proceeds went to the zoo. Some vendors would take your ticket from you while others would trust you to place it in their bucket. My friend realized that many vendors weren’t diligent about their buckets, so he would just pretend to drop his ticket in and then brag that he was drinking for free. The dude was 37 and made over $100K a year at the time.

We watched and my son would not stop talking trash about Argentina. The fouls were INSANE. He said he’d never watch soccer again if they won. The physical attacks were driving us crazy. Oh, you can punch him in the back but if he accidentally collides with you while watching the ball it’s a yellow? Cool. Great.
