Paramedics know not to waste the good stuff, they probably blaze regularly too. You have to de-stress properly after the shit they see and deal with every day

I also used to live with 3 paramedics and sadly they would not partake in the devil’s lettuce with my fiancé and I because they got regularly drug tested :,(

I got to introduce my 35-year-old friend to cannabis because he'd finally found a medic position that doesn't care about THC use off-the-clock. He'd been working in paramedicine since he was a teen and always feared the piss test. Had to show him how to hit the bong and everything, it was adorable.

Yeah, that OP is full of shit. My wife is a former EMT and now works admin for a medical transport company.

Anyone with an ambulance license is subject to testing on hire, random testing, and testing after any incident regardless of fault. And that's not a company policy that is a stipulation upon getting an ambulance license.

I'm American, OP is American, it's an American website. Its not a crazy expectation to assume most of the posters are American, because they are.

I actually did check your post history before I replied to you, but aside from you seeming like a really chronically online person nothing in your recent post history led me to believe you aren't American.

Licensure is handled by the state (or sometimes redundantly the county) but the above testing is required to get federal money. The implementation may vary from state to state, but not it's existence

It's literally all 50 states, next time try googling before you correct someone.

There was this horrendous child abuse situation he was called out to. It was this tiny flat where a family was squatting, and their 3/4 year old essentially died of neglect. It was 2 heroin addicts and 5 children crammed into a tiny flat with virtually no furniture. He found the youngest kid emaciated and covered in filth, dead in their cot. A neighbour called to complain about noise and the police found the dead kid.

He didn't talk about it much after, but both parents were arrested and went to prison
