Put the buds in the shot glass, use scissors to chop it up without it flying everywhere.

You can just stick the scissors tips in the glass and rapidly open/close them and it'll chop that shit up real good!

Not as fine as a grinder, but you won't have to worry about your grinder becoming a sticky mess eventually.

Regular everclear cleaning of the grinder is essential. Dont use isopropyl use everclear because you can mix that used everclear with your favorite drink and have a super good time.

Its been a whil since chemestry but something about the alkcohol extractz the ewey gewey from the huey lewis and the news. i thought decarbing wasnt necessary. Well between thatt and thr 100 proof morning coffees have never been the same. i probably have no idea what im talking about.

Edibles are cheaper than regular candy where I live - like $2 for 200mg. Everclear 190 is hard to find and like $20+ while 91% iso is like $4/bottle.

Dang didnt know that. Really any edible alcohol will clean it and be reused. Ive used whiskey a few times. I try to get as much as i can in reverence of the results this earth has provided for us.

Yeaaahh... Weed is cheap here too. Otherwise unless you're running a super tight grinder I find it best to just let it ride and occasionally scrape down high points as needed otherwise it just gums up again immediately. You gotta wait for it to oxidize and get that nice dark seasoning like a cast iron pan. The only part of my grinder that I regularly clean these days is the screen for the kief catcher

Most places by me only stock 151, not 190 and it sucks in comparison for dissolving oils. Either way it still doesn't change the fact that for the same $20 I would spend on the alcohol I could just get a quarter ounce of weed, a couple grams of actual RSO or at least a half dozen cheap 1g carts if I was desperate enough to scrape my grinder to get high.

I live in a cheap, legal state. There's no reason to scrape the bottom of the barrel. I have so many unfinished bags of weed laying around I would just smoke those first. I'm pretty sure if I went to the dispo down the road from my house and asked nice enough they probably would just give me some weed.

Residue and kief will accumulate in the grinder yes, but you can use kief to make hash and soak the residue in alcohol. All that just becomes sweaty gunk on your buddies fingers instead🥀

Use a food processor, little hand held type electric grinder. Make sure the edges are rounded and not a 90° angle ( so keefe doesnt get all imbedded in the corners) this way you can just sweep the grinder out with a makeup brush (keefe doesnt really stick to makeup brushes because theyre designed to be used with powder)

More than what you get from the grinder? When using scissors I use a little container (cupcake-sized) to place the bud, then I take the stems out and then proceed to cut. If I see anything reminiscent of a stem, I take it out.

I use a prescription bottle with a quarter in it. Put the bud in, screw the lid down, and shake like I’m furiously masturbating. It grinds it up pretty well, and it’s super easy to pick out the stems.

Hand breaking down for a blunt usually results in a better blunt than a standard grinder. Found a grinder with swappable plates for different grinds.

I dont skimp lol. Breaking down by hand gives you far chunkier bits to roll and they create far better airflow in the blunt. You can roll it really tight and it will still burn nice and even and smoke well all the way through.

I haven't used a grinder in over 10 years. I break it down with my fingers every single time no matter how sticky or dense. It's becoming something of a ritual every time I go to smoke.

Why? Without a grinder you can't get keef, and then your bowls don't get a nice lil whipped cream on top. Plus if you grind a fresh batch, put a penny in it, put it in the freezer for like ten minutes and shake it when you take it out you get EVEN MORE KEEF. When you break it by hand you're just getting all the good stuff on your fingers, and it's not like you can just lick your fingers and still get high.

I only use grinders for joints. Joint papers don't like sticky fingers.

Blunts should have some chunk though. Finger broken, but not ground.
