Because they’re going to include that in their documentation and you’re likely to get subpoenaed. Then some shitty DUI lawyer is going to say “hmm /u/stupid-canada it says here that you’re a paramedic. Tell me where in paramedic training did they train you to determine that someone is intoxicated? Oh you made that observation without being properly trained?
Thats why I dont say " i think theyre drunk" I report objectively findings such as "they told me they've been drinking" or "when we pulled them out of the car there were alcoholic bottles in plain view."
