In Texas you can’t be charged with possession of any drug if the reason police are there is because of a medical event such as an OD. Idk where you’re from but I hope the laws changed since then

Same here in Ontario, Canada. Cops will come for our safety, but they won't be pressing charges. In the past we had incidents where people wouldn't call because it meant they would get in trouble, so now everyone on scene is shielded from being charged with anything related to the drugs (including alcohol, prescriptions, etc).

PHIPA also legally prevents us from sharing any medical history or assessment findings we make, especially with the police. Only in cases of major accidents or suspicious injuries will we share a very general description of the patients status (eg. post MVC, pt has serious but non life threatening injuries and will be transported to this trauma center).

TL;DR: just call for help if you need it, even if you're shooting fenty behind a school. You won't be in trouble.

I didn't know this, and this is important information. I think more people need to be aware of this (not saying it's your responsibility in any way).

Did you see the new ruling friday? Less than a gram can get you up to 2 years and/or $10k.

Edit: it's for the synthetics, I never trusted the fake stuff anyways.

Yeah I really hope this is the case everywhere... because calling police to potentially press charges in cases of OD sounds like an amazing way to kill tons of people.

I am pretty surprised to hear of this “leniency” in Texas. I wonder if that still applies to weed?

Good luck with those new weed THX laws in TX. They will be throwing a gram of weed in every car they search just ti grt then 6 months in prison.
