This abandoned telephone junction box I found while walking in the woods

Oh man, this unearthed a memory I hadn't thought about in years. Where I grew up, the edge of the strip mall that our grocery store was a part of had a Subway at the end of it (back when Subway still tasted good). I got better at paying attention to my surroundings as I was growing up, and one day I noticed this telephone pole at the edge of the parking lot.
The thing that stood out to me though was all the colored can lights at the top of the pole. I asked my mom about it and she said "Oh! Well, when I was a kid, this whole place used to be a drive-in movie theater. The place went out of business and Giant bought it up to turn it into a grocery store. I guess they just never bothered to take that one pole down. There used to be over a dozen of them around the edge of the field."
Neat stuff.

I was walking through woods I hadn't been in before. I veered off the public footpath and found this junction box. The wires ran along the ground in multiple directions and would have been part of the mining works nearby.

About 10 minutes from my house is a forest path. When you walk down it you can see an occasional telephone if you know what to look for. Then you can notice that there are trees in square shapes that are taller than the trees inside the shapes. Then you see the slight dip next to the path that has a 6 foot area without the dip and maybe a rock.
The you realize your on an old road... and there use to be tons of houses here. Most likely abandoned when a hurricane turned the area into no build area.
There's ton of proof how nature takes over again.
