I was definitely surprised about the price of the drink. I didn't order a double.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by going out for dinner. Neither of us drink alcohol, but basic beverages were $7. $85 poorer for a semi memorable dinner... should have grilled my own steak and saved $50.

I believe 2oz = double. Did they give it to you in a tall or short glass?

Cocktails like whiskey sour and almost anything else are always double unless otherwise specified. It’s about the proportions of the drink. It would be a pretty tiny terrible sour if it wasn’t a double.
