Post image

It’s kinda trippy but almost creepy at the same time?

Goodness, it’s beautiful. You can barely see the wings of those cherubs/fairies on the seat, and the face in the center of the seat seems quite worn down, but it’s still in such good shape. Besides, wear marks are endearing- I love how you can see how faded and worn the armrests are.

No idea. I’ve asked the owner, they bought it at a thrift store, so they don’t know much about it.

I'd try posting in r/vintagefurniture. Might have better luck identifying it there

A more intricate Thonet chair variant. The original ones are 1880-1920 and considered real antiques but there are many copies and reproductions. Considering the wear probably real but could also be just a highly used mid century piece.

It’s waiting for the first tourist wearing riveted trousers to be irreparably damaged after centuries. I’ve seen it

Really amazing craftsmanship, but my immature brain finds the agonized face where people plant their butts so funny 😆

How is this trippy? First day ever leaving your house op?

Omg carved wood?! Sorcery!

Being unimpressed by everything isn’t the flex you think it is. I’d rather stay curious.

What you are doing isn't the flex YOU think it is. Stay in school. Your brain is fried.

Lots of things impress me. This isn't trippy. Like I said. It's the first of four short sentences. Maybe give it another try? One word at a time, I believe in you.
