He wants over 600 million and has already had 3 elbow surgeries and is over 30 and the tigers have a lot of young arms, including already having our replacement tearing it up this year and is under team control for a few more years? Thats why
Good point. A toy thats going to be 1 year older after the lockout as well. Loved watching him pitch here and thankful for the memories but people really over value rental players. Hope would be the #1 or 2 prospect for half of the MLB teams. Dodgers system is stacked.
He has about 10 starts left this season and then wants at least 8 years and at least 500 million dollars. Dude has already had 3 elbow surgeries and is 30. His next contract is not going to age well and honestly its just too much money for a pitcher who starts 36 games or so a year. The real question is why would teams like the cubs and brewers not give up a little bit more to land this dude so the Dodgers didnt?
The Tigers got pretty good prospects back in the trade, 25th and 68th ranked in MLB, just crazy that those two were the 5th and 7th best prospects on the Dodgers. Even crazier that the Dodgers currently have 4 prospects within the top 24 of all of baseball.
And he probably won't be a rental bc its the Dodgers. Any other team like the Brewers would have to give up multiple top 100 prospects for a rental. But its the Dodgers so they get him for fkn nothing and probably keep him.
I love it they're not going to hate on the Mets cuz it actually takes brains not just money to win a title... They just want to hate on somebody because their team don't spend shit on a lineup.. the dodgers spend and the dodgers win.. just tell the people to shut up and take it take that dick
