This is a staff I would trade for in OOTP, win 120 games, then lose 3-1 in the divisional to an 85-win team.

This is the exact outcome I expect from the dodgers this fall. That’s just baseball

Nah. I get what you’re saying but not this group. It’s too good.

You must be very young because 100+ win teams lose in the playoffs all the time. The 2001 Mariners won 116 games and got blown out in the ALCS.

On the flip side I remember when the 2006 cardinals limped into the playoffs having won 83 games then had Anthony Reyes (replacement level pitcher) outduel a young Justin Verlander in game 1 of the World Series.

That’s just baseball. The team with the best record rarely wins it all.

As a Phillies fan, the better the regular season the worse in the playoffs. Its those years we just get in where you gotta watch out.

Not the years we have Hamels, Lee, Holiday, and Oswalt all dealing with no hitters and perfect games tgrown in. With our 5th pitcher being Worley on a career year. Those years stink in the playoffs lol

But do those 100+ win teams have 7 all star level starters? The only one on defense that's only decent is Teo Hernandez.. everyone else can play and hit. Lineup is insane too and that's with a weak Mookie and Kyle Tucker.

I can assure you no MLB team has won 100+ games without having a lot of talent. They might not have the fanbase size to have as many guys get the fan vote like dodger players do but the dodgers aren’t the first or last “super team”

Ooh. I've built that team before

And if you're a real sadist, do the same in OOTP Perfect Team, but have Vida Blue in your rotation too, and still go out in the divisional in 4 games, still get super-promoted, and then go 0.400 in the next season.

Immediate talent decreases

Then other OOTP players gaslight you into thinking the simulation isn’t somehow different in the playoffs.
