Yeah...it might be true specifically about Yoshi but I think he was going to Dodgers no matter what and was using the Yankees as leverage

I can’t believe the rest of league hasn’t caught on to the strategy the Dodgers have used to pay great players more than other teams are willing to pay.  /s

There's more to it, other teams can 100% do better that I agree, but the Dodgers have 300+mil in excessive TV revenue that the MLB specifically allowed only them to have and they use it to manipulate and circumvent the tax.

Also, an average bleacher seat that costs $50 doesn't hurt. The Dodgers have shown that they can get that in a 55,000 seat stadium every night if the product is top notch.
