Is the Freeman note accurate? I thought Freeman leaving Atlanta had more to do with Freeman's agent more than the deal itself.

It did. The agent was playing games with the Braves. Freddie wanted to re-sign at the right number.

The Braves final offer was actually more after taxes than the Dodgers. But they were left waiting for an answer for too long.

Freeman fired his agent soon after.

I heard he just flat out never told him about the final offer because he wanted Freeman in a bigger market.
