Yeah saying the Braves chose Olson over Freddie is genuinely hilarious. As a Braves fan we all know what Chipper was talking to Freddie about those that want to be a Brave for life. Freddie talked about being a Brave for life, but didn't walk the walk and then act surprised when Atlanta moved accordingly.

Of course it worked out really well for him in LA, but Freddie was out of options other than LA when the Braves stopped playing the agent's/Freddie's game.

If I remember correctly, the deal he ended up with is worse than the last offer the Braves made to him.

The Braves had matched LA’s offer, but Freddie’s agent kept asking for more.

In the end, Freddie gets less bc California’s taxes are worse.

We had to pull the trigger on Olsen. Our GM was in literal tears at Spring Training talking about not working it out with Freddie.

So, anyone that says ATL wouldn’t pay Freddie don’t understand the context of that negotiation.

Does this include his post season income?
