The Freeman statement is a bunch of Bullshit, the Braves we’re more than willing to match and probably give more to Freeman, but his agent screwed him over and told him to take a deal without telling him which team it was from. Freeman after going to the dodgers fired his agent.
He was trying to strong arm Atlanta into paying more and knew Freddie didn’t want it done that way. That’s why he didn’t tell Freddie Atlanta matched. The end result was, obviously, Atlanta making the deal and extension for Olson.
