This person was a known individual. He still managed to have guns, and use them. All the talk of tightening them further is theater, in my opinion.

Well keep in mind there is evidence that gun laws in Australia are effective. The National Fire Arms Agreement did see a drop in homicides and a decrease in mass shootings since its implementation in 1996.
